"Excellent property with high standard of finish and decoration. Very warm despite the cold weather outside. The “Welcome Pack” was a great and welcome surprise which is a definite plus compared to other rentals in this area. Master bedroom had a superb en suite plus a great view of Loughrigg Brow. Everything was great and we can’t wait to return. "

"This is a decent place to stay if you go in with expectations in check. It’s roomy and cozy, with conveniences like a washer/dryer, dishwasher, stove/oven/microwave, and some cooking equipment. Lighting is good, lots of outlets is a plus. Internet functions fine, don’t expect blazing speed but certainly adequate. Easy access to dumpsters/recycling is also great. "High Ridge is perfectly situated right in the middle of Ambleside. However, it really does need some TLC. There are damp patches on the walls , the bed linen is rather questionable, & the window blinds are just simply dreadful . They let light in, don’t work properly & are very tatty indeed. The furnishings are of poor quality & there are just far too many dreadful pictures on the walls. The kitchen & bathroom are good but the rest of the property needs a jolly good face lift .
