Only non-alcoholic beverages available in bar, policy of new owners. No traditional english breakfast, ie sausage, bacon, eggs available, only continental breakfast, again policy of new owners. This should be mentioned and drawn to guests’ attention before they commit to booking. I and my travelling companions, one of whom has stayed at Wycliffe at least ten times previously will not be staying there again or recommending it to others.

Staff very good - friendly, efficient. Large room, walk-in shower. Negatives were no alcohol sold ( but no corkage charge if you bring it in ) and no cooked breakfast.

Everyone who works here is very kind. The hotel is super cute also. The bed was hard, and walls are very thin so you will hear everything/everyone around you.

As basic and dated as the pictures suggest, however it was very clean, comfortable and the room was spacious, so a good option for a one-night budget stay. The guy on the front desk didn’t seem to know what was going on, though, and tried to charge me for a room that was already paid for, which was a bit disconcerting.

Pleasant Stay
Pleasant say, just one night, nice breakfast. Only had one towel in the bathroom. Suppose could have asked for another but didn’t notice until late.

Pretty basic hotel, a definite no no for disabled
A very basic clean hotel. Paper thin walls, constant noise from what I assume are bathroom fans. Miniscule breakfast with limited options. No facilities for wheelchair access, stairs to entrance, no disabled parking spaces even ground floor rooms have stairs.

Lovely place to stay
Girl on the desk was lovely and helpful. Made me feel really welcome and gave an excellent service. Room was exceptionally clean. Bed was a little hard but some people might like that. Planes do fly over but stops at some point not too late and starts in the morning. I would stay again.

Overal a good stay. The hotel is in the middle of a residential area so transportation may be limited to private cars or black cabs to get in and out; the tram station is a bit far to reach by walking if it’s raining(15-20min). Breakfast was included which is great, but very limited. Consider adding some cheese or some kind of protein. The restaurant doesn’t open every day and there are no places to eat around; consider delivery apps. Room was clean and housekeeping was on point and daily. Staff was very kind and helpful. They do not have a 24/7 helpdesk so plan your time arrival in advance. Would definitely consider staying again

A very nice and friendly hotel although a little more expensive than others. Food was nice but my biggest disappointment was that there was no alcohol on sale, so no G&T or wine which I was looking forward to. It was explained guests could bring their own but there would be a corkage charge! I was told the Hotel was under new management. Landing planes were noisy but got used to them quickly.

Terrible value for money
Staff were pleasant and the room was clean. Very dated decor - basic facilities - shower was terrible - unable to position shower head due to wall fixing. Cheap wall mounted hair drier - no hot breakfast - limited continental buffet. Has the feel of a budget hotel but charged over £100 for the room.

Lovely hotel in good location.
Stayed here for couple nights to meet up with old friends . Lovely hotel. Good location. Comfy room and bed - had a wonderful nights sleep. Staff extremely courteous and friendly. Hearty breakfast which was delicious- had evening meal on both nights which was also plentyful and tasty. Would highly recommend - a reasonable price too.

Property is a little “old school”, large keys that you drop off at reception when you go out and pick up when you come back in, but there’s always someone friendly and helpful on the reception desk. You also have to put your key in to operate the electricity in your room. But facilities were great. We had an I unusual cold night but the radiator worked great. Very clean, had everything we needed. Easy and free parking and not too far from the airport.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean but a bit dated. Breakfast was good and there was plenty free parking. Would stay again.

The Wycliffe Edgeley Stockport
The Wycliffe Hotel had a welcome feel to it no large stag or Hen parties to contend with. We were visiting friends and the location was perfect. If your visiting Edgeley or Cheadle the hotel is ideally located. Manchester airport is 20 mins. away. The staff are welcoming and the hotel is very well run, clean has everything you require.

Another good stay
Another comfortable stay at the Wycliffe. The restaurant serves up superb meals as witnessed by the number of non-guests. I also always look forward to the freshly cooked full English each morning.

Very warm welcome. Small but comfortable room. Spotlessly clean. Nice big walk in shower. Lovely meal in the restaurant shame we had to leave early before breakfast. Would recommend

All about service
Old style hotel when compared to more modern branded chains but everything was perfect and the service levels were fantastic. Rooms are a little old in style but lots of space. Everything you need, and even a proper tea pot to make tea. Doing all the little things really well makes a difference
