Friendly and helpful staff but hotel smells of damp and a bit of sewage. Room was ok but carpets not been hoovered in a long time and wifi did not work in the room so unable to do any work.

Overall stay was very enjoyable with helpful staff. The breakfast was lovely and made with quality ingredients. I will certainly be staying again. The parking was great and the bed was comfortable and bathroom very clean.

A bunch of us stayed for several days for work. Staff were friendly and helpful but that all the good I can say. The rooms all stank and were in poor condition, no toilet roll holders, towel rail, leaking taps, no tea or coffee in the rooms or even a glass to drink water from. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in unfortunately.

It is not a hotel or a B&B but a room above a busy pub, which is not clear when booking. Room was clean but very basic for the cost (My room at Uni Halls were better equipped) with no soap, toilet roll, kettle etc Could not open my window because of all the noise and smoke from people outside coming in my window

Overnight stay from hell
Very disappointed I know it was a budget stay but this place was worse than budget before I got to my room I was hit by raw sewage smell that got worse in my room no tea and coffee making in room tv remote broken in half and taped back together and wouldn’t work properly cobwebs everywhere I will not be staying again

Hi JasonSorry you did not enjoy your stay, Tea and coffee is complementary in the bar from 8am till 11.30pm. If you had any issues with your room then informing a member of staff would of been the way to go as we would of happily charged your room. Kind regards Laura

Never Again!
Firstly this is not a hotel nor a proper B&B, it is a social pub with rooms. Reception was at the side of the bar by a young woman chewing a burger. Passing through the door leading to the rooms, the smell was strongly fusty, I think from the carpet, but this was nothing compared to the strong pungent smell of something, either damp or chlorine disinfectant I’m not sure, throughout my room and strongly from the bathroom. No coffee or tea provision, only a TV. This for almost £83 and without breakfast. The self-service coffee offered at breakfast was from a jar with old coffee crystals, some in lumps. I couldn’t drink it. Who writes those glowing reviews? I wouldn’t use this place again if they offered it to me free for a month.

Smell in corridor and musty smell in bedroom don’t stay in room 9 fan comes on very early in morning woke us up even with windows closed. Had a drink in bar g and t no ice asked for lemon said fruit on bar was for show. No WiFi been of for a few days but bar staff said keep trying then manager told us had been off for a few days. No food available we should have been informed of this and we wouldn’t of stayed here I had zoom meeting on Saturday afternoon couldn’t go a head because of no WiFi . No tea and coffee in room never stayed any place ever with no refreshments tray in room also no hangers in wardrobe space.

Reception is in the pub, which can be lively and loud, a lot of the crowd gather outside smoking, screaming and shouting, which was just below my room, at one point the was a big row that seemed to get physical, but ended up out of my line of vision, room was small and basic with a bit of mold on the wall... but i have had worse, shower ok, thought barely any toiletries, wifi didnt work first day, but when it did it was fine, parking in the pub car park, which i saw a few unsavory characters milling about in but there security cameras up everywhere ( i think they need them) there are lot of contractors staying there and i did worry about my vehicle (tools etc) on the last night i stayed a load of hells angels turned up.. noisy bikes but then everyone else behaved so it ended up being the most quiet night. No kettle or tea/coffee in room.
