"The Lodge and Elephant Park are incredible. Nigel employs over 700 Balinese staff, and they adore him and their workplace. You see happy staff, smiling and enjoying the company of the visitors, the Elephants so calm and happy, and so well looked after, and the grounds are stunning. Nigel clearly had a vision when he created the Elephant Park and saved the Sumatran Elephants, and it has grown and developed from there. Everything about the Lodge is exceptional. The landscape, the elephant interactions, the choice of food options, and the choice of accommodation options. Everywhere you look is a delightful vision of warmth, consideration and excellence."

"We (myself and young daughter) stayed in a villa with a pool and valley view and loved it. You really feel like you’re transported to a magical Balinese wonderland here. The attention to details is apparent. The staff is so lovely and service is impeccable. The monkeys made our stay in this particular room very interesting, but don’t stay in a valley view room if you’re not keen on some rambunctious morning visitors. They make an excellent natural alarm clock."

"Hotel at very good cental location, with shops and supermart just outside. Nice friendly service staff. Room is clean, nice garden view. Birds chirping away in the morning. Garden ground has lots of colourful frangipanis. Within the hotel there are padi fields, may sit by the cafe to enjoy tooking at the green padis. Breakfast is great. Good choice for a Bali holiday."

"Loved stay at Maya Ubud! The location was great for going into town but I honestly didn't want to leave the resort! I loved the adult infinity pool. My room was great with a comfortable bed and turn down service. The dance shows at dinner were fun too. I do recommend taking bug spray if you walk on the riverside trail; I got at least 40 mosquito bites on a very short walk there. I also recommend a trip to the spa!"

"Visesa is a gorgeous, well-kept resort with very attentive staff. Our pool villa was stunning! The photos online do not convey how beautiful they are. We loved the food, especially their buffet breakfast - my husband and I really enjoyed sampling the Balinese & Indian options as well. Our kids were obsessed with the cultural entertainment provided at dinner and begged to eat at the resort every night. The resort is not within walking distance to the centre of Ubud, which we didn’t not mind at all as the free shuttle in & out makes it very easy. We will definitely be returning to Visesa"
