Beautiful property in an idyllic location. we stayed following a visit to a nearby gin distillery. we ate in the bar as the restuarant was full, and the food was very good. and very plentiful. A singer started his set at 9pm and he was very good. But he got louder and louder. And Louder.... I had to leave the bar area as it was making my ears hurt. Unfortunately our room was right above the bar where the singer was and still the music got even louder. By 10.30 the wardrobe doors were vibrating, the mugs we were using were vibrating across the table and it was impossible to rest my head on the headboard as it was being shaken by the bass from the music. At around 11.10 the loud music did stop and the noise level was bearable. Just be aware that weekend stays may be loud as we didnt expect it, never having stayed before. Sunday breakfast was average and the tables were sticky. Disappointing after the lovely food the previous evening.

Stayed at the Queens for 1 night prior to a conference in Telford. The position is great - around 10 minutes from the centre of Telford but out in the sticks . Our room was quirky but well equipped with an ironing board & iron and a hairdryer . The room was chilly when we arrived however quickly warmed up when the radiator was turned on . I’d booked for dinner and we had a lovely meal . Food was excellent , piping hot and tasty . Good to see the pub buzzing with lots of people eating too . Staff were attentive without being overly so . The bumph the pubs website mentioned potential noise & music from the bar until midnight on a Friday and Saturday - yes , there was noise however this finished at 11pm and we’d done warned with ear plugs anyway - thanks for the heads up!! My only critique and it’s purely selfish would be that I had to miss breakfast as service didn’t start until 9am and my conference started at 830 . My husband however returned to the hotel and had the most amazing breakfast at very competitive prices . I was insanely jealous as it looked so tasty and he was well impressed Overall a lovely place to stay and we’ll be back if I arranged another conference and you have rooms available . Highly recommended

A great find.
The pub is a delightful place in a nice, quiet village. The staff were attentive and friendly; the food was good; and the room was spotless and very comfortable.

Excellent stay - will be back!
Bringing daughter to uni. Late arrival after check in had close and Aimee was more than obliging assisting us in getting checked in. Our boat was delayed and she was very helpful

I was let down by a hotel in Shrewsbury and found this absolute gem of a hotel at the last minute what a lucky find I needed 2 rooms for one night and when I booked I decided to have an extra night exceptionally comfortable rooms very clean quiet and the white company toiletries very impressed the staff are so lovely and friendly and amazing breakfast

So easy to deserve a perfect 10
In the main the hotel is worth a 10 (or even an 11 compared to most others), but it was let down by a few minor issues, that really shouldn't have been. There was no chair in the room and nothing to lay my case on for easy unloading, plus the shower knob was extremely hard to turn. But the worst issue for me, was the breakfast cut off time of 9 am on a SUNDAY morning. It would be bad enough on a weekday but on a Sunday is something I've never encountered in my hundreds if not thousands of B&B nights out. As a consequence of these issues, I'm unable to give it a perfect 10 but because of everything else being worth an 11, I'll give it 9.

Hello,Thank you for your feedback. We will look into getting a chair for this room.Breakfast is served from 6:30am -9:30am Monday - Friday and 9am - 10am Saturday - Sunday. This will have been on the information sheet in your room and also your confirmation email, I also said this to you on check in so I’m unsure where the confusion has come from. So close to nice
So close to being fantastic but let down by a few school boy omissions e.g. no seat for dresser to do make up, lock on bathroom door on backwards so couldn’t pull door to, to shut, shower roller door misaligned and fallen off its rollers. So close. Wouldn’t go again but wouldn’t discourage anyone from trying it

Nice room, friendly staff, excellent smart TV in room. Good selection of beers and food. Make sure they know if you want breakfast (we didn't and, as the chef was off sick and we were the only residents, breakfast wasn't available)

I booked my wedding at the Queens and had a room also and the whole experience was absolutely amazing could not of wished for anything better 😍 the food was amazing, the staff were amazing, nothing was too much, they upgraded our room and gave us a breakfast discount for my family also and even though they had a corporate event on outside which we new about we still felt so important and special, all the staff and customers were congratulating us on our marriage and the owner Tina was always asking if we were okay and if we needed anything and the added bonus was that we hadn’t booked out the venue but stayed on as guests for the rest of the day that the corporate event had live music and free food for all in the evening which just topped our day off xxxx fantastic place cannot wait to go back for date night and our anniversaries xx
