"Used for 14 guests, rooms and showers very clean, kitchen not the cleanest but was ok, some of the cookware in need of replacement, tho the spacing of the 3 cookers bemused me, (I did over 3 miles in the kitchen alone on the Saturday). The pool table was a bit of a disappointment, cues with no tips and very dirty cloth, maybe worth getting new cloth and then charging for damage, as easy to spot. Luckily weather was great so we sat outside, but would have been nice to have a tournament. Overall...

"On arrival the cottage was spotlessly clean. Lovely welcome pack with tea and milk in the fridge. Lovely location with great walks in and around, and when we came back to the cottage we could warm up with the fire.Great place for a break and to enjoy the outdoors. Would highly recommend. We had a lovely time."

"I had a lovely 4 nights stay at Penny Black Cottage. The accommodation was clean and cosy. The bed was so comfortable that I felt â€˜fully refreshedâ€™ each morning; and the view from the bedroom window was amazing - you could see for miles!There is a lot of road noise, but it didnâ€™t affect my â€˜holidayâ€™ at all. I hope to return later in the year."

Many of the home comforts were provided and essentials for cooking. Found it overall a very pleasant place to stay. "
