"Landlady went beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. Incredible food and sent us off in the morning with complimentary food water for our trek. Extremely friendly/welcoming atmosphere!
Couldn’t recommend more!"
"A beautiful view from the room. Appledore is very lovely. Able to park opposite the accommodation in the evenings. Good welcome and breakfast at the Royal George."
"Fantastic retreat, off the beaten track but worth it if you are after a quiet stay.

"Had a lovely stay in the chalet. Exceptionally clean, great sea view, loads for the kids to do, close to all the amenities, brilliant communication with host. Highly recommended. We will be back Thank you Andy "
"Perfect little chalet. Only 2 of us but room for 3 more. Lovely welcome parcel of yummy goodies. It was easy to message owner and with somewhere to eat on site (plus other amenities) it was perfect. "
Rosie's Holiday Cottage in North Devon With Indoor Heated Swimming Pool
10/10 Excellent
"We had the most wonderful, memorable stay. The location was great and we enjoyed many lovely local walks and activities. The cottage and farm were a total dream for the kids (and grown up) the trampoline was great fun, plus the swimming pool which was always just us 4 (and had lots of play things!) The kids loved feeding the chickens and quails and seeing the peacocks. The games room was well kitted out and great fun so plenty to do back at base on a wet day! Also netflix available and spacious rooms. The house has everything it needs including enough loo roll, washing up liquid etc (this stuff makes a difference!) plus the cream tea on arrival was the icing on the cake. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and Christina was such a wonderful host. "
"Nice well equipped property with the facilities needed to use it as a base to explore the area and have day trips out from. Good communication from a nice host with suggestions to visit the area and a nice welcome pack which was a nice touch.
Property has a freezer which isn't listed (but no ice maker which is listed), a good selection of games and DVDs for the TV in the 2nd bedroom.
Good facilities at the site although no facility to pre-book general swimming sessions so might be worth going elsewhere (we went to Bude Leisure Centre about 30 mins drive away as they had a slide and wave machine!)
Milky Way Adventure Park 5 mins away is highly recommended, avoid the Big Sheep as that was basically a very expensive soft play and not enough to keep everyone occupied for the day - it cost about 3 times more than it was worth unfortunately!)
Overall a nice stay and a pleasant location - recommended! Thanks!"
"Communication with the host was fine. Chalet was clean and pleasant. Appreciated the nice touches of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and some cooking condiments like oil, herbs, and salt and pepper."
"It's a real shame because the chalet has potential. But there is no investment/maintenance of it. The toilet is plagued with mould.
There is nearly no storage so if you go for longer than a weekend, it is a challenge to have to live out of bags.
The chalet seems to be one of the only ones that has not been painted recently. There are broken lamps and drying racks that had not been disposed of.
The kitchen tap is worryingly loose and the fire alarm was left next to the microwave. No carbon monoxide alarm seemed to be available.
The park is alright, it is in an area full of nature. The outdoor and indoor pool were good for the kids. But the property needs more effort put into.
