"Good for a local stay for exploring nearby amenities and if your out and about. I would say more comfortable for a family of 5 or 6. Was a squeeze in the living room area with places to sit but dining area and conservatory was lovely! Main downside of our stay is going as a family of 7 and seeing this place sleeps 7 on listing with a sofa bed but actually means someone just to sleep on the sofa. Contacted host which replied quickly saying it says on listing to sleep on top of sofa and says to bring your own bedding which I believe isn't on the listing. Luckily a family member had a sleeping bag in the car but we would of been stuffed otherwise. Car parking was ok, did have two cars and was a lottery ticket to get a car parking space over in the lane over the road but we managed. Overall good stay and would stay again. "

"Very well appointed cottage. Easy to find. Christine our host was very friendly and always on hand to help out if needed. The cottage was clean, warm and well equipped - an added benefit would have been an oven glove.Christine was very friendly and it was a lovely surprise to have welcome goodies waiting for us. We hope to return."

"Lovely cottage in nice countryside area. Good meals to be had at the Royal Oak pub nearby. Plenty of places to visit - Carsington Water, Dovedale, Matlock Peak Rail and many more."

"Clean. Great communication from the host. Did have bunk beds in one of the twin rooms which weren't advertised but not an issue. All in all a great place to stay the night before a day at alton towers with friends. "

"The property was very clean and had almost everything we needed. We couldn't find a bread knife or coasters (just one) but everything else was great. The hot tub was clean and a great temperature and the seating was adequate for the amount of time we actually spent in the property. Karl was very friendly and welcoming."
