"Spotlessly clean and well furnished accommodation, punching way above its weight as a guest house. Room (#5) was very comfortable, with tasteful furnishings/fittings and well thought out use of space. Nice balcony (with a couple of chairs and a small table) overlooking the seafront. Jo and Buzz were gracious hosts and could not have been more helpful during our stay. Breakfast excellent - eggs benedict especially recommended. Free parking either on street, or in nearby car park. Thorpe Bay is a great location. 1.3 miles from Southend pier, so is close (but not too close!) to the town centre. Frequent buses run along the front in a loop between Leigh and Shoeburyness. We chose Beaches based on its positive reviews and thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
