"La Marioposa is in a beautiful location. The building and rooms are situated for unbelievable views of the ocean and forest. There is a lot of wildlife on the property that you can see from your balcony monkeys, birds, sloths. They even have a adorable resident baby sloth. The staff are exceptional and work extremely hard to make sure you enjoy your vacation. We were fortunate to have Alan, Oscar and David at the front desk and they bent over backwards to support any requests we had or provide good background on tours etc. The complimentary breakfast is really good. It is buffet style with a lot of options. The Papillion Restaurant for dinner and pool bar also serve really good food and drinks. The wait staff are extremely gracious. A magical location and definitely a place I would love to come back to. Thank you Mariposa."

"Lovely pool facility and nice patio with many plants. Breakfast area was lovely and option for breakfast from pancakes to rice & beans & eggs. Potion sizes were moderate. Hotel was undergoing renovations but we were aware of this and it did not impact our stay. Lovely staff. Highly recommend this oasis in the city. "

"Can’t really complain about anything here. The room was super clean and housekeeping was done every morning. The food at the hotel is so tasty, as well as the coffee of course. The best part is the staff who are all so friendly and attentive, Melina especially. She is so nice and helped me organise so many parts of my trip, even walking with me to the bus station to find my bus to Uvita. Thank you Melina! "

"The room is beautiful and very clean! They are bungalows in the middle of the forest, with breathtaking views. The property caretaker, Tony, is very polite. Strongly recommend this. Just a note, there is no restaurant around so you must drive to the beach or quepos to eat all meals. There is no room service nor any service at the pool. "

"This was a perfect spot situated right off main route near Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Mirrored set up of rooms on either side of common area offered roomy beds, AC, storage closets and shower bathrooms. Plenty of space for 4 people. The patio area was an inviting spot to sit with coffee in the morning and enjoy the quiet. The pool was a perfect little extra for taking a dip after a day at the beach. Property staff was very helpful with insight on food options, attractions, and setting up excursions. Highly recommend this stay if you plan on visiting Manuel Antonio or if you have a car it is only a short drive down to Playa Uvita and Playa Hermosa. Pura Vida!"
