The commercial part of town is split in two by a big hill about a mile long. the motel is in the western half and a lot of restaurants are in the eastern half, as well as the entrance to the park.

It was a cool, windy day but the yurt was toasty warm. It had everything we needed for comfort and convenience. We made a wonderful meal on the grill that we enjoyed by the fire. We stargazed and we're in awe of how clear and dark the sky was.

Convenient location close to Joshua Tree visitor center. Area is somewhat depressed although there are reasonably priced restaurants nearby.
