"This was the perfect place for a holiday! The hotel is located in the best possible spot, with easy access to everything you need, yet surrounded by peace and nature — absolute harmony. The beach is simply stunning — the cleanest and most beautiful we’ve seen, with incredibly fine, soft sand like powder. A true paradise! We stayed in a villa with a private pool, and it was absolutely amazing! We especially recommend the overwater villas — it’s not just a stay, it’s a true experience. Housekeeping was done twice a day, everything was always spotless and perfectly maintained. The staff were exceptionally attentive — kind, welcoming, always ready to help. You can truly feel their genuine care and dedication to top-level service. The cuisine was outstanding — breakfasts and five-course dinners felt like dining at a Michelin-star restaurant. Delicious, refined, and beautifully presented. Evenings featured live music and shows, creating a wonderful, festive atmosphere. If you’re interested in local excursions, they’ll organise everything quickly and at great prices, including smooth, reliable transfers. And a special mention goes to their attention to detail: on our way to the airport, the staff called the taxi driver to make sure he wouldn’t make any stops and would get us there on time. I’ve never experienced such care and consideration — absolutely top-tier service! Highly recommended! "

"This is an amazing property to stay in Zanzibar. We were upgraded to the frangipani villa which was spacious and well appointed. The private pool was great. The main swimming pool is huge and doesn’t get too crowded. The food options at the main dining room were good with a lot of vegetarian options for breakfast and dinner. Beverage options are nice and reasonably priced. The complimentary fruits at mid morning and ice cream at mid afternoon around the pool area are a great touch. The staff is polite and extremely helpful. We had to see the onsite doctor as one of us wasn’t feeling too well one day. The staff promptly arranged for the doctor to arrive who was extremely helpful and thoughtful in his advice which we highly appreciated. The doctor didn’t charge us for his visit and medication even when we asked if he was sure. As has been discussed previously in other reviews, most beaches in Zanzibar have big tidal ranges and at low tide, the sea retreats by a lot. We didn’t swim on the beach for that reason and there’s also a lot of sea weed that the staff tries to clean every day. Nevertheless, the main and private swimming pools more than made up for it. There are a lot of monkeys around the resort and the staff warn you at the outset to keep the doors closed. It is advice that must be heeded to. The resort is family friendly. That’s great if you have kids of your own but if you don’t, it can feel a bit like school nursery during breakfast / dinner time. "

"This is a really AMAZING HOTEL for both families or couples. I travelled more than 70 countries; and this was such an amazing spot I stayed. Before selectong hotel I read all comments but some negative ones are not very realistic to me now: 1-amazing staff: from reception to beach, restaurants to gardeners; all are making the hotel really shine. So kind, helpful, and service quality to your front amazingly. In any other country you cannot find such - in EU for sure not 2- food: very very delicious, big variety. Some mentioned that it s not easy to book restaurants which is absolutaley not true; very very easy indeed. If you are searching for Michelin restaurants ; for sure no need to come here; otherwise this hotel is amazing 3-natives by the beach: wheb walking by the beach; there are Tanzanian and Masai people approaching you but in a very gentle way; tryijg to help you walk in return asking you to visit their shops in a very good petsonal distance. All are kind. No need to worry at all even with kids or ladies alone. Also in case there are safety guards by beach. 4- sea and beach: very beautiful amd clean. Even in low tides you cannkt see any trash in the sea or beach. Be careful with sear urchines in low tide after 1km from beach. Masaii will help you My only comment might be daily trips and spa services; despite of their quality; a bit overpriced even above EU levels. Overall: Such a very good price vs service quality. Big thanks to all team and employees. "

"Alot of thought has gone into the different little expierances you can have, in areas you can choose to relax. Food and drinks were great! We were up-graded to a amaising luxury villa! Our butler Ramson was very attentive and thoughtful. He really went the extra mile staying up and helping us with our cases at 12.30am and helping with our taxi. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you..."

"Highly recommend staying at Mvuvi if staying on the east side of the island! Staff was always attentive and made sure our stay was wonderful. Both restaurants were fantastic! It was easy to book all of our excursions through Mvuvi and made it super convenient. Overall, we had a fantastic stay. "

"This was an exceptional stay. The accomodations at The Level were beautiful and clean and beyond what I expected. Every detail was considered e.g. The toiletries were top notch and the room had everything you could need including beach blankets beach bags, umbrellas, steamer for your clothes.The list is endless. The pool areas ( there where several) were comfortable relaxing and clean and there were several activities, games and excursons. The Spa is amazing and the gym had everything one needs. The staff were friendly and the service impeccable from reception, restuarant service, housekeeping and the guys driving the shuttles within the resort. The grounds were beautiful and quiet with accress to a large expanse of the coastline. The only thing that needs improving is the food. For the cost and the level of excellence in other aspects of the resort, the food offerings need to be improved in terms of range of options and flavour. I also koted that there were some kids in the adults only section. They were well behaved and did not bother me but others may not appreciate it. Neither of these, would stop me from going back in a heartbeat. one of my best vacations ever. "

"The environment was very welcoming and everyday i saw how hard everyone on the staff worked in unison to provide me comfort and convenience. Elisha and Zebron i dealt with daily and they made sure everything was in order and that i enjoyed myself. The cooks serce some of the best food i have tasted it was so i tried food i have never tried. The property was secure and i had no worries of unfavorable events occuring. First place i have stayed wjere housekeeping comes in person at least 3 times a day to ensure the room is in order or to check if anything is needed. I didn’t just meet people that work at a lodge there, no i made friends and i will be visiting again. Asante sana to the entire staff and managers "
