"Feels like home! The loft is excellent, just be prepared to take your stuff through the spiral stairs. Affordable comparing with hotels in Ann Arbor. Owner and housekeeper are super nice!"
"It is a lovely and unique bed and breakfast. Each room was themed, which was really cool. I stayed in the neverland themed room that had such wonderful little details throughout that was a treat to explore. The breakfast was delicious and the set up with service felt like out of a movie. I had a wonderful stay and would stay again!"

Top University of Michigan Museum of Art Hotel Reviews
"Kensington Hotel on State Street at Ann Arbor is a very pleasant place to stay. The facility is clean, quiet, and convenient. It is relatively small, but offers all the upscale amenities you would like to enjoy. I wish we had time to stay longer so that we could use the indoor swimming pool, the lively backyard, the sauna, and the gym, etc. Their workers were all friendly. William at the front desk was particularly awesome. We arrived quite late that evening. He did not only offered the three adults of us a glass of champagne, but also offered to prolong the open time of the pool if our children would like to swim before going to bed. We have a saying in Chinese, 賓至如歸,meaning “the guests arrive as if they are at home.” William made us feel at home indeed."
"I only stayed for 2 days, had breakfast and even though I was the first to walk in early in the morning, I was greeted with warm smiles and hospitality.
I had a knee injury and the staff quickly prepared an ice bag for me.
The room was nicely decorated, very clean, and the bed was comfortable as well. Nespresso coffee in the room was wonderful.
I look forward to staying at the Vanguard again.

Walk Everywhere: Campus, Stadium, and Downtown Restaurants
10/10 Excellent
"First, Brenda is a great host. She left staple items for us like eggs and seltzers and coffee so we didn't have to run out after a long drive. Her communication was excellent! The house itself is very charming but the rooms and decor etc. are all upgraded. Our family members kept commenting on what a great house it was. We comfortably slept 9 and had room in the kitchen and dining area to relax. Lastly, it is a great location - easy walking distance to the stadium and to the downtown AA area - it would be great for a football weekend. "
