"We arrived late evening but received a very friendly welcome from the guys on reception. Room clean & comfortable with excellent shower, all nicely decorated."

"The Lion Hotel is ideally situated to explore Shrewsbury on foot and you can leave your car on the property, pay at the desk rather than the machine for £5 per day. It is a property that is both historic and with character, having said that the communal areas looked very tired. The room was spacious with a high ceiling, brown furniture and bare floorboards which squeaked with every step so be aware if you are prone to waltzing in your sleep."
