First time in Vancouver

My husband, our friend, and I came to Vancouver for the ACDC concert. Our stay at this VRBO was great, it was easy to access with the check-in information given. Clean and comfortable, I would stay there again

The unit itself is in good condition, and the space appears clean. However, there is a persistent humid, dingy odor upon entering that detracts from the experience. In addition, when leaving around 5:00 a.m., I encountered a group of three individuals using drugs to the car garage door. They dispersed quickly when the door opened, but it was unsettling and not a reassuring way to start the day.

Clean cute and a great spot if you want good food!

The apartment is cute and very clean. Everything we needed was provided! Lots of great food options within walking distance. Plus a Catfe! Great location.

The apartment worked out very well for me and was easy to find. The first time getting in was a bit tricky, but once I got a handle on the process it was fine. The location was interesting. Right on the edge of the China district. If you aren't comfortable with encountering homeless people, this area wouldn't work for you. They never were a problem and Ifelt very safe in the apartment building, but there are a lot of them around.I really enjoyed the rooftop deck The views were nice and it was a great place to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day. The apartment was nicely stocked, but I honesty didn't do a lot of cooking while I was there. I was glad to be able to open the windows as it could get a little stuffy in the apartment and it was nice to be able to air it out.The management team was very responsive.All in all, a nice stay.

Wonderful stay in Vancouver, heart of Chinatown

My wife and I really enjoyed the stay at Zaahira's property. Well maintained, exactly as described. Had a car and it was a great central place for exploring, although note some sketchy neighborhoods nearby if you're wandering. Car not necessary if you plan to stay close, downtown and use public transportation and Uber. Thanks for the great time!

The perfect apartment for our girls weekend! It is small but has everything we needed for our stay, close to many shopping areas & the hop on/hop off bus :) The building manager was amazing and very responsive, the host was exceptional. we would definitely stay here again

The apartment is well appointed and maintained Everything needed to live there. Ability to cook, entertain if required.Cooking consumables available rice, quinoa, pasta, spices. Plenty of tea and coffee options. No milk, couldn't find a kettle. Breakfast cereals. Laundry in house. . Comfortable and reasonably quiet. 8th floor view to street. . Outside balcony.

West coast trip

Right in the heart of Chinatown, Beautiful condo with a nice balcony. The rooftop access is great to have as well. Great restaurants and bars all within walking distance! It is a few blocks away from some sketchy areas but the people tend to keep to themselves.

Great place, very secure building

Really enjoyed my stay. The pictures are accurate and I appreciated how secure the building is. The area is becoming gentrified, but is not super far from some sketchiness, so I wouldn’t recommend this being a spot for a stroll. I definitely felt safe in the building, as well as on the street it is on.

Central Location - Easy to Navigate

The apartment was clean and comfortable. Ate at several restaurants in the neighborhood and had good experiences at them. It is located in a "border neighborhood" so if you're uncomfortable with street people this isn't the right place for you.

Great value compared with hotels, clean, comfortable and convenient. Everything in good condition, balcony to get outside. Instructions for key and parking are very clear and communication with manager/owner is pleasant and prompt. Location is Chinatown, which is good during day and fees relatively safe. Only negative is nearby Hasting St. - infamous for homeless and drug addicts. I would stay again and avoid Hasting St.

Not bad but not great

Definitely did not blow us away. Communication with property manager was very thorough and I appreciated the detailed check in and check out instructions. Cleanliness was not great. Lots of stains on bedding, furniture, linens, etc. as well as a questionable liquid that was left on one of the tables. Light switches also looked like they had not been wiped down in awhile as there were lots of stains on them also. No glasses either, only mugs provided. There was a tiny bit of coffee grounds provided but no coffee filters so unable to make coffee in the morning. Also no kitchen cloth provided and no plug for the kitchen sink drain so washing dishes wasn’t exactly convenient. A full length mirror would also be nice for the place. As for location, it’s not great but definitely felt safe in the building. My sister and I walked around quite a bit but I would just avoid Columbia street if walking around the area. Overall, it did the job but not sure if I would book again.

Clean and Secure but bad part of town

We knew going in that the area where this apartment was located might not be the best. We did not expect to witness crack pipe usage as we entered the parking garage. There were drug users living outside the parking garage that would barely move when we tried to enter and exit the parking garage. However, the parking garage and apartment building are very very secure. We felt safe staying there. We only needed to leave once on foot to go to a restaurant. We felt safe walking but stuck to the main roads (no alleys). There is a lot of foot traffic and activity in this area. The apartment was clean and well stocked. The rooftop patio area was nice and the little balcony for the apartment was a nice place to sit. The apartment, especially the bedroom, was hot (we are used to a/c so probably not as tolerant of heat). They have an a/c unit for the living room that worked pretty well keeping that room cool but the bedroom was stuffy and hot. It needed more/better fans. The apartment had everything we needed and was well appointed.

Great Stay in Beautiful Vancouver

Communication before arrival was informative, prompt and accomodating (offered some flexibility with check-in that was very appreciated). We also had a couple questions throughout our stay and it was easy to get in touch with the host via the app and my text where required. Appreciated the building being secure and not allowing anyone without a key in. Elevators also required the FOB. Apartment was a bit warm since Van was around 30 degrees that week and the balcony door was left open during cleaning. There was an ac unit but no way to connect the hose to the window to vent, so it was initially just venting into the unit itself (they may be in the process of setting it up properly though), but there was also a fan and a ceiling fan in the bedroom which kept things comfortable in place of the AC. As mentioned in previous comments, I would also recommend avoiding East Hastings (taking Keefer towards Columbia is a safer path). The Subway station is a quick walk that way as well (we probably used Chinatown station most often). It is also an easy to walk to the Olympic Village area (there is an Aquabus stop to get to destinations like Granville Island from there too if thats on your itinerary!). Overall an enjoyable stay at this VRBO location :)

Great Stay with Subpar Management

This is a great stay, the unit is centrally-located, spacious and beautifully furnished. Let me start with a few good points: - The unit is spacious and well-furnished, and there is a great view of Chinatown from the bedroom - The location is decent it is close to downtown and near make restaurants. It is near to East Hastings however it still felt quite safe outside, even at night time - The unit has a washing machine and dryer, and a functional kitchen with a huge full-size fridge and gas stove - Two televisions are provided, but you must bring your own streaming service subscription With that said, the management had some issues and lacked some attention to detail. A few points: - The floor of the unit was mildly dirty. It might have been cleaned quickly - Most lights in the kitchen were dead when I arrived. There were spares in the unit so I replaced them myself - There were no garbage bags in the unit, but they were provided when requested - The washing machine and dryer were broken upon arrival and installed while I was renting the unit - This isn't the unit management's fault but I got trapped in the building's elevator once - Management was a little difficult to contact. They were not quick to respond on VRBO, but more readily responded via text Overall a good stay, with a few minor things to keep in mind

Very nice, clean room but AC inadequate during hot weather… room was a bit too warm despite AC and three fans. Complex entry process due to high security requirement. Neighborhood was pretty seedy with major drug use in full view on street, but never felt unsafe. Great coffee and vegan restaurant options close by.
