The overall concept leans heavily toward a “do-it-yourself” experience: you need to pick up your own towels, get your own ice, and handle small things that you’d normally expect to be taken care of in a more full-service hotel. Another downside is the lack of guidance at check-in. No one really explains how the amenities work or what’s available—you’re essentially left to figure everything out on your own. Service overall is average. The staff is polite, but nothing stands out—no real sense of going above and beyond. The beach service, in particular, is almost nonexistent.
