Fantastic location for walking and enjoying the attractions
We had a lovely time at Fossil Cottage. We loved the cows and the pigs in the field behind. The walks to Niton and Ventnor were well signposted and really pleasant.

Fossil Cottage is a lovely, well restored mid row holiday home for two. It is well appointed and everything you could require is to hand, from utensils to a pub within 5 minutes walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Picture perfect
The cottage was ideal for our week's stay. We enjoyed the country setting and the lovely views of the Isle of Wight countryside all around. The interior was beautifully decorated and furnished, with everything in perfect condition and clean. The cottage had everything we needed and was well equipped. Very convenient parking too. We have booked another week's stay.

Fossil Cottage
A beautifully decorated cosy cottage. Everything very tastefully done. The bed is extremely comfortable and good quality towels and bed linen. Lovely scenery and extremely peaceful. Many delightful walks from the cottage.

Charming cottage
Really lovely place, quiet and relaxing. Perfect place for exploring the island. Owners are very responsive and easy to communicate with. The road into the property is an adventure, take it slow. We really enjoyed our stay!

Hi Jen, thanks so much for your lovely review. It's really appreciated! The road gets filled once a year and is due to be done soon. Joys of having an unmade lane used by cows and tractors! Although we love it and prefer it to the M25 :-)

Fabulously relaxing
The cottages are completely charming, quiet and peaceful. They were thoughtfully equipped, and well maintained, I would happily recommend them., and certainly would book again. Only minor problem was no black bags provided for separating the towels and linen which had been requested by the host, and I hope they were ok with us doing the best we could.

Well equipped, food packages very welcome, lovely location, terrible approach road, needs anti slip mat for shower/bath Not altogether clear that this was a different part of Expedia, that cost was taken up front and enjoyed different cancellation policy Probably slightly expensive but reasonable value

First time in Isle of Wight, really enjoyed are short stay, we will certainly be back.
The cottage was really well presented, very clean and comfortable, just perfect for two and a small dog. An excellent location and lovely surroundings.

Lovely cottage, ideal for two and a dog. Lovely walks from cottage, interesting island to explore. Loved Newport shops and Bembridge beach for dog walking. Would recommend.

Lovely cottage and location
We had a great stay. The cottage has been lovingly renovated to a high standard with lots of thoughtful touches. The weather was wonderful so we were able to sit outside each night enjoying the fresh air and were pleasantly suprised by the good phone signal, netflix and strong WiFi too. Thanks!

Adorable cottage - quiet, private and peaceful - a little haven away from it all!
A wonderful 3 days even though the weather wasn't brilliant - it didn't matter! Just perfect for what we wanted which was getting away from people and life in general and having some quality time together. Beautifully appointed, everything tastefully done and thought out. Loved having the cows come past the door each evening and felt very private. The owners were incredibly friendly and kind and accommodating. A little oasis of calm!

A wonderful stay in this beautiful get away from it all cottage. Everything you want for a relaxing
The property is beautifully decorated and everything is well maintained. Seating areas to the front and rear are a real bonus. Whitwell is conveniently located for travel around the Island
