Lovely reception staff. Very comfortable beds, v clean everywhere and nice modern bathrooms. We were lucky to get a space in the garage as we wouldn’t have got our Citroen C4 7 seater into any of the off street parking spaces running up the tiny one way side street running up to the hotel entrance. The vehicle is too long to manoeuvre around other cars in their spaces. The garage is tight too but with care a larger car can be managed thankfully. Failing those you would be best to drop cases at the entrance and drive left past the garage down the street with the shops and turn right into a residential area where I think there may be free parking. A 5 minute hike if you are a fast walker. It is an easy 15 minute stroll to the palace you can get a good map at reception and there is a number 2 bus 2€ cash from near to the palace to the roundabout if you need to save your legs a little. We walked & it was fine for us. We had one meal in the hotel which was perfectly adequate if you don’t want to venture out, tasty food and service was good. Reasonably priced, Burata, lovely but very cold, mains a very nice fish dish, others had chicken burgers, and one Caeser salad which had unexpectedly crispy breaded chicken in it, all enjoyed. The dessert, cherry clafoutis was very very cold and rather disappointing for a french desert, tiny on its own, no garnish no cream or ice cream. Flavourless. An apple tart looked a little better. Breakfast good with a great coffee machine, latte😋
