"Tiny rooms so storage space. Holes in ceiling in lobby. Very old and dingy"

"Rooms are old apartments. Ours had wood floors and very different furnishings than shown online. It was very warm and there was no air conditioning as in hotels so be aware as we didn’t see that posted. Common areas are clean. Desk clerks are sufficient but not overly friendly. You service your own apartment while there. Not a problem. Best is location, around the corner from many incredible restaurants as well as sites. Bus stop directly in front to get you around town easily. Train from airport just a 4-5 minute walk. If these cute apartments were to be updated, modernized a bit, we would stay again."

"Rooms were clean but weirdly bathrooms had frosted glass doors. Not ideal if sharing with friends or kids etc. Breakfast - wouldn’t recommend. Coffee was great but no milk for cereal. I appreciate you could have asked for it. No ham, cheese just bread. Yoghurt available and soft cheese. Location is great. "

"A great location and most of the staff (not all) are extremely friendly. The hotel is clean and right next to Bastille: a great area for eating/drinking with superb links to all the major sites. Room was tiny (305- suspect it’s normally a single- we’d booked a double), somewhat dated but spotlessly clean. A/C, fridge, safe all not working in the room. Shower area simple but clean and bright. Needs an overhaul, decor and amenities-wise. It was a bit like a time-warp but did have some charm. Check in though was simply awful. The chap made us feel like an utter inconvenience and was simply rude (tried pushing us a taxi return to the airport which we politely declined- from that point he had no time for us and wouldn’t answer simple questions about the metro… ‘Ask me tomorrow, as I’m busy’. He actually wasn’t even on Reception as we arrived. We waited ten minutes then loudly said ‘Bonjour’, which he appeared to take issue with. He was irked from the start). Evening staff great though- warm and welcoming. Didn’t eat at Castex as the breakfast room didn’t look that appealing. All in all, the location is amazing, a clean if tiny room (305), comfortable bed, decent shower but no amenities to speak of."

"I wouldn’t recommend staying at SO/ Paris Hotel. It’s simply not worth the money. The staff attitude felt unwelcoming, and the way they hold large amounts for “incidentals” without clearly explaining it upfront is just bad business—you feel overcharged and misled. The rooms are small, with almost no privacy, and the layout is poorly thought out—no proper sink next to the toilet or even a bidet, which you’d expect in France. We even paid extra for a “view,” and it was minimal at best, honestly pathetic for the price. Overall, disappointing experience. Save your money and stay somewhere else."
