"Friendly and helpful staff "

"Fabulous setting but signage needs improving Room was very comfortable but water in bathroom not potable for some reason. Didn't use any of the facilities but they looked superb and the grounds and views were magnificent. It was a shame the restaurant was fully booked as was the pub in the village we were directed to. Excellent breakfast in the morning "

"We liked the friendly staff and other pub goers and they served a good pint of bitter from the barrel ! We did nt like the lack of parking, room had no en suite, and only a bath in the shared bathroom, rooms had paper thin walls and you could hear conversations as if they were in your room ! Had to cook your own breakfast from a shared kitchen. we felt we were staying in a youth hostel !"

"An excellent short stay, room very comfortable, friendly service and a delicious breakfast."

"We have stayed here many times and always found it to be excellent. Staff are friendly and always welcome our dog with cuddles and treats. However this time we did not enjoy staying in the family room which for two oldies was very noisy and outside lights in the yard on all night. Hasn’t put us off but will only book direct in future to ensure we get a room we want. "

"We stayed at the Carlton to view wedding venues for our daughter . The hotel was lovely the bedroom very spacious, the bed lovely and comfy , the bathroom aiiry and everywhere was clean . Breakfast was lovely and all the staff very friendly . We had a lovely stay and will definitely recommend "
