"We loved this property. It is just 2 minutes from the beach and the excellent Cove House Inn. The property is unusually well equipped and very comfortable. There's plenty to do in the near surroundings and our teenage granddaughters loved our time here.However it was very hot while we were here and fans in the bedrooms would have been useful - but those are the only items we felt we missed.Thank you for a lovely holiday"

"Really cute cottage in a great location...it had all the amenities we needed for the week we stayed. Super clean and the host was excellent and available if we needed to ask anything. Only issue was with wifi and that was out of the owners control as the IT technicians were to fix this but did not during the week we stayed. We were able to go to our daughter's house to access wifi with a meeting that needed fast wifi streaming. Otherwise, we were able to Hotspot through our phones and that worked for us for the week."

"I was attending a course in the leisure centre next door. The Aqua was an excellent, relaxed place to stay. The staff/owners were polite, friendly and generated a relaxed atmosphere. The small, well stocked bar carried on this relaxing, informal atmosphere. (The squeaky bar stools could do with fixing but were still amusing) The food is top notch and very affordable. The cooked breakfast (Included) is amazing and you can select as little or as much as you want. Lovely coffee as well. Cereal and toast is also available and I enjoyed the relaxed serve yourself arrangement. Helga, was on hand to make sure you had everything you needed and was very friendly and approachable. You can take a walk to the highest point in Portland (490 feet above sea level) to take in breathtaking views and sunsets. (A bus is also available as it's quite a walk!) My room was clean and tidy and all I need in a stay. A comfortable bed and shower. TV reception was very poor, giving only a handful of channels, but this didn't really affect me as I don't go to places to sit in hotel rooms watching TV. The Aqua is a great place to relax and enjoy great food and drink. I liked the informal, laid-back atmosphere as this added to the relaxation. This, plus the attentive, friendly staff, made my stay very enjoyable. I would certainly stay at The Aqua again. "
