The Clarence

"Top notch cleanliness. A most perfect hotel right on the seafront but also close to the harbour. Lovely couple running it, super friendly, attentive and determined that my stay is as perfect as it could be. This is hotel accomodation at its best. The breakfast is terrific with a great choice of fresh fruit and yoghurt. There's also granolas- three kinds! Plus regular cereals. You can pick from the generous selection of cooked foods. The man of the house is a master of poached egg making. The eggs are best quality Orange Yolkers! I also had kippers one day. The bacon was also best quality and not too salty. I had the large single in room number 5 and it was indeed a very large single, almost a double. There's a beautiful lounge if you want, downstairs. I'd always choose this hotel for future trips and I'm so glad I discovered it."

"Staff were very helpful & accommodating. Eg. Reception staff, bar staff, waitresses etc. Parking & early check in was no problems. Food was hot & plenty of variety both breakfast & excellent restaurant menu. Excellent location & good facilities. Room was clean, well equipped & comfortable. 10/10 for everything & would be my first choice when I next visit weymouth."

"Wonderful room, fantastic view. Close to all amenities. Friendly host. Just one niggle. We decided we would like the fish fish for breakfast during our stay. After we ordered we were told that there was a £4 each surcharge for the fish. That was OK, but there was no mention of this on the menu or anywhere in the details of the guest house. Maybe it should be added to the breakfast menu. Overall we had a wonderful stay, and will go back."
