Whitehall Landing is a popular development as you can follow the footpath along the river and arrive in the centre of Whitby in just 10 minutes. Here you are in a central scenic spot, whilst benefiting from designated parking, which is a big bonus in such a popular holiday destination.



Beautifully furnished throughout, the apartment is all on one level, with a spacious open plan living room and dining area. The upholstered suite has enough comfortable seating for all the guests together, with a large TV for you to enjoy in evenings. From the dining area there is a hallway which leads to the bedrooms and bathroom as well as the kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped and perfect for whipping up a hearty breakfast to fuel a day of exploration, or even a late evening supper to enjoy with the family. The first bedroom has zip and link super kingsize bed which can be made up as twin beds on request, which makes this apartment flexible for different families as well as couples travelling together. This room boasts an en-suite shower. The second bedroom has a king bed as well as a single, making it a perfect set up for a young child to sleep close to their parents, or for two friends sharing this room to have their own separate beds. The third bedroom has a single bed.



Completing the apartment is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Set within Whitehall Landing, a sough-after development, there are communal grounds that can be enjoyed by guests, including a small children’s play area, with sights across the harbour to the train track where the steam locomotive passes by. The apartment has one allocated parking space, but other visitor spaces are potentially available if needed.



Whitby is one of Yorkshire’s most picturesque coastal fishing towns located just a 10 minute walk away, with a bustling harbour, narrow cobbled streets, old fishermen’s cottages and historic abbey. This atmospheric place has plenty to offer visitors, whether you choose to experience the traditional seaside charm, or something slightly less conventional like the annual Goth Festival. Along the coastline you also have the scenic villages of Robin Hoods Bay, Staithes and Runswick Bay to explore, as well as the historic seaside towns of Saltburn, Scarborough and Bridlington. You are also surrounded by the North York Moors National Park, with ancient forests, rolling heather clad hills and valleys scattered with hiking trails, as well as quaint villages and some wonderful traditional pubs and local cafés to visit. Shop 700 yards, pub 500 yards and restaurant 350 yards.

Esk Retreat is a very comfortable roomy apartment .It’s in a great location for walking in and out of Whitby( 10 mins) so no need to take the car into Whitby.On site parking is a bonus for those wanting their car for trips further afield- Robin Hood’s bay Staithes etc

Comfortable apartment, easy access being on the ground floor (no waiting for lifts!), easy parking in allocated space, good beds and equipment generally. As there's no washing machine a spin dryer would be appreciated. Handy location for short walk to Whitby centre and local walks to Abbey and along Cinder Path. The only let down was lack of attention by the letting agent when we had no hot water. Otherwise, would highly recommend this property for a Whitby holiday.

Great apartment. Loads of room and great having parking. It’s a good 15minutes outside Whitby centre but we were fine with that. There’s no central heating so you have to heat each room which meant it was cold when we arrived. We got the hang of it though. The zip together bed was too uncomfortable for two- it’s two singles and you can feel the springs. The double in the other room was super comfortable though. Great having two bathrooms. The bath plug leaked and the en-suite plug is broken so you can’t fill the sink. Would stay again though.
