Great place to stay. Very clean and well maintained. Lots of nice little touches. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and plenty of food. I would definitely look at booking Puddle Duck Lodge when I visit the Lake District again.

Lovely!

Absolutely lovely stay. Clean and quiet property, brilliant hosts. Location was close to everything you may need, and close to the bus for further away sites. Incredibly accommodating in all regards.

Just returned from a couple nights at the Puddle Duck Lodge, in the single room. Lovely place, all around. Spotlessly clean, in perfect area to explore Bowness/Windermere. Owners were pleasant and accessible, without being overbearing. The breakfast was fantastic, and the parking was easy to get in and out of. Probably the best guest house experience I've had in the UK.

Nice decoration, nice garden. Clean. Very small single room, very small single bed and very small downstairs bathroom.Breakfast delivery at 8 am, 8:30 am, and 9 am. Delivery knocks on the doors of your neighbours has the same effects as knocking on your doors. If you want to sleep, book elsewhere.

Wonderful Place

Puddle Duck Lodge is a wonderful relaxing place. David and Jenny are great hosts. We really enjoyed our stay and we will recommend it to our friends and family. The gardens are beautiful.

Small unique B&B property in the English Lake District near Lake Windermere. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants in the village. Beautiful garden in front yard. Relatively small room, but very comfortable, including the four-poster bed!

Lovely B&B the owners were very friendly and helpful, free parking was a great bonus and only a few minutes walk from the centre we really enjoyed the breakfast, we would definitely stay again next time we are visiting Bowness on Windermere.

We stayed here over the Aug 2025 bank holiday weekend and would definitely recommend this place to stay. The location is ideal - situated on a quiet street and very short walking distance to explore Bowness. The garden at the front of the property is beautiful. We stayed in The Boat House suite which was very spacious and pleasantly decorated. David & Jenny were extremely hospitable and delivered us a generous breakfast hamper each morning (home made preserves a lovely touch) and were very helpful with local recommendations for Sunday roast. Thankyou :)

Fantastic family run business

Overnight stay in the lakes with my dog. Couldn’t fault the service and friendliness of the family owned Puddle Duck Lodge. They do everything to make you feel welcome and even provided a welcome pack for my dog. I would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Little gem

Had a lovely overnight stay here. The room was absolutely beautiful with a very comfy bed. There was lots of nice touches in the room from freshly baked biscuits, DVD's & bath robes. On site parking and the most amazing choice of breakfast all served in your room. We will definitely stay here again as it was so close to everything in windermere. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Excellent weekend

Friendly owners, clean, bright and cheerful room. Tasty breakfast with plenty of options. Little things as well, like plug socket by bedside light so could charge phone and read book at the same time, which many large hotels can’t manage. Already planning to return next year.
