Lovely stay at The Coppice. Everything explained fully on arrival. Breakfast room, entrance hall, stairs, all lovely, warm and inviting. Room had everything to enhance our stay. Short walk up to Windermere and slightly longer down to Bowness. Hosts excellent.. Would highly recommend.

Excellent B&B

Hotel was clean and spotless. Room had everything we needed in it. We were greeted by the owner and she made us feel at ease straight away. She explained about the area and was very informative about places to eat. Breakfast was beautiful and choice was great. Would definitely stay here again .

We had a lovely stay here over an extended weekend. The owner welcomed us and provided tons of local information. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well positioned, with plenty of private and on-street parking. We stayed in the suite and really enjoyed the huge bath and dual aspect bedroom with easterly morning light. The included breakfast was perfect for setting us up for a day of walking around the stunning countryside. We had a wonderful time.

Everything was perfect!

Had a fabulous time at The Coppice again! The room was beautiful and had really comfy beds. The breakfast was delicious. Beverley and Neil are amazing hosts, they were so welcoming and helpful. Just wish we could have stayed longer!!!

Had such a fantastic stay at the Coppice Guest House and it was made exceptional by the staff members. Beverly ( i hope thats her name) was amazing, she had a wealth of knowledge of the area and was very accomodating. No fault with the room was exactly as described (although the shower was a tad small, but this is a personal issue and nothing to do with the accommodation). Would highly recommend staying!

Wedding weekend at Merewood Hotel

We have stayed at The Coppice before and knew what to expect friendly staff, delicious food, comfortable stay and ideal location for what we wanted to do! We will go back again! Should anyone wish to visit The Coppice as an extra I would use Ace Taxi service as they certainly were ace!

Lake district stay coppice

Disappointing, definitely not 4 star a 2 to 3 at best i would not say this is ahotel more a b and b/guest house. Local pool and gym facility availabile is falsely worded and decieved advertisment maybe use of a private gym and pool within a 15 min drive away would be more acceptable. Maintainance issues and disruption with having to move rooms back and forth is not acceptable bare mimimal i would expect to deal with situation when i could of be injured as very heavy curtains and rail detached from ceiling on to me. Shower in downgraded room 9 running cold is not acceptable to expect paying guests to endure. Im sure if i damage property Saying im sorry would not have just been enough Breakfast was an unnecessary fiasco waiting from 8.15 although cerial available self service waiting for drinks coffee tea fruit julce unnecessary could or been out in hot jugs etc a least water and juice in jugs order were taken a day before.

Lovely room shame it was on third floor and no lift. No toilet on ground floor. Lovely breakfast and good choice, the son was an excellent waiter! Beverley made an excellent host, good knowledge of area. Shame it was a 20 minute long walk up and down quite a hill, but quite good bus service into Bowness and areas of the Lakes

The room we booked was on the ground level overlooking the intersection so it can get somewhat noisy because of traffic and other guests in the house, but since it's a small town, it was ok at night. The room had all the basics we needed for our stay but it was cold at night and the heaters didn't seem to work. The host was welcoming. There were a lot of restrictions though that made us feel bothered. Breakfast was ok but the options were limited and rigid. The location was good, in walking distance to the downtown area.
