"Gorgeous property, quiet and serene, loved sleeping to the rain. It is clear this place was a labor of love to build and is well maintained. The volcanoes national park was 5 mins away and so convenient. The little “town” of Volcano had good restaurants and art center. Would love to come back!"

"Very nice place, location is great for a visit to the Volcano area. Owners were timely and helpful with our request for information. Although we did not get to meet Sarah, she was on vacation, her lovely aunt Lila filled in. "Very cool property on a secluded lot. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable. Great patio and was able to hang out in July with no bugs!Conveniently located less than 45 mins from Hilo and South Island activities like Punalu’u (the best black beach). But of course minutes down the highway from Volcano Natl Park. Only thing missing is a hammock on the patio!Highly recommend. "

"A visual treat on our journey around the Big Island. We loved Room 104! Huge dining table/island, double sinks and double showers in the bathroom, ample supplies. Only suggestion is to have more dinner plates and utensils. Beautiful grounds with koi pond, waterfalls. Quick drive to Volcano and Village. A must when visiting Volcano. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"Wonderful property just minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The bungalow had little special extras like a heated towel rack and heated floors in the bathroom. Enjoyed the plush robes and fresh Hawaiian coffee each day. Town of Volcano is so quiet and layed back. So different from the hustle and bustle of Kona. "

"The lodge is spectacularly located a mile from the world’s most active volcano. Amazing views and easy access to miles of trails. At 4,000 ft elevation, the air is cool. We wore long sleeves and jackets in August. The rooms are clean and comfortable, old fashioned with windows that open and no AC. The lobby areas need to be refurbished but were also clean. We didn’t try the restaurant. Overall we greatly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. "
