Had a day visit to York with friends. Upgraded our room to deluxe. One of the nicest rooms we have stayed in! Lovely staff, conveniently a 10 minute walk from the station, but out of the main hustle and bustle of town. Lovely breakfast. Beautiful old character property and would have no hesitation at going back and recommending to others.

Historic building with modern makeover of the interior . Very pleasant helpful staff . Well appointed bedrooms everything looked fresh and attractive . Lovely grounds too . Handy for buses into the city . And the bar snacks were excellent too .

The staff were all extremely helpful, can’t fault them. The food was a little pricey but good. We had a deal which included breakfast, otherwise might not have had it since it seemed expensive.

We had a junior suite which was large. The room was clean but we noticed the hotel could do with some maintenance /upgrade. Carpet looked a bit old and the shower handles kept sticking. We had to ask for help. Staff are very good and excellent breakfast.

As a solo female traveller I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I arrived early and was able to leave my bag at the reception, which was then delivered to my room. The room was spacious, well decorated and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel was easy to find and is a stones throw away from the train station all the main attractions. I would stay again and recommend to friends and family.

Beautiful hotel and room. Really convenient for the station too. Very efficient air conditioning which was hugely appreciated in the hot weather. Christina on reception showed us to our lovely room, that’s a great touch. Highly recommended, we will return.

The hotel is in an ideal location, only a 15 minute walk into the city centre. Our room was in the new extension to the hotel. The room was very clean, big enough for 2 people with a very comfortable queen size bed and bathroom. The Air conditioning was a great benefit especially with this lovely summer weather we are currently having. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the choice of food at breakfast was excellent . Overall a very good choice of hotel and we would have no hesitation in staying here again if we visit York again.
