Three Acres Inn & Restaurant

"Beautifully appointed rooms and friendly staff. We had breakfast and it was excellent - beautifully cooked and delicious coffee. We stayed so that we could spend time with friends who live nearby, and will likely return the next time we visit. The only drawback for us was that dogs are not accepted here."

Lake Side Cottage

Lake Side Cottage

10/10 Excellent
"The property is lovely and the location is fabulous. We could be walking around the lake next door within minutes of waking up, and we could reach the city and visit family within 10 minutes. Despite being next to the pub, we found it to be peaceful, and quiet with very little noise. The kitchen is well equipped, and the whole property was immaculately clean. The owner clears cares about her visitors and her property and had done everything to make our stay enjoyable. Without question, we will be back as it is one of the nicest we have had in the Wakefield area and the fact that we could bring our dog was the icing on the cake for us. I would recommend to anyone, but be mindful that the garden is not on one level, and parking on the hill is not for the faint-hearted! We we were provided with a permit but we stuck to the pub / lake car park which was much easier to navigate and quite cheap. We had coffee and cake in the cafe next door, ice creams at the lake and could have easily eaten out in the evening too! it is in a perfect location. Even though we were visiting family, our weekend felt like a holiday - thank you for having us to stay!"
