"Great staff, but the "Sun Club Master Suit" experience fell short of expectations. We booked the Sun Club Master Suite Ocean Front, expecting the VIP treatment typically associated with a high-end suite. Unfortunately, the service was rarely proactive; I often found myself following up on requests and experiencing long wait times. The Logistics: It was quite difficult to locate the pre-booked Amstar private shuttle at the airport. The Property: While well-maintained, the resort feels aged, and our room felt significantly dated for the price point. The Highlights: About 90% of the staff were wonderful and friendly, and the food was decent. Verdict: Between the aging facilities and the lack of proactive service, I didn't feel the experience was worth the premium we paid."

"This resort is very modern and Americanized, didn’t feel authentic Mexican. Beautifully designed with really great food. The buffet was amazing always had something new to discover. Did not like the wait times to get into the buffet or the order coffee from there little on site coffee shop. It was impossible to just go somewhere and help yourself to morning coffee. You had to wait to be sat then wait for the waiter to come over to your table (at the buffet) the train brings you around which helps since the resort is so big: the beach side pool is very sleek. Staff friendly. The gym is beautiful and nice tennis courts. Nightly live musicians were talented. I loved the smell in the lobby. "
