Park Central Hotel New York

2/10 Terrible

"This was the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. We were first assigned to a room that was already occupied. I immediately complained to the manager because I was then nervous that someone might be assigned to our room after we checked in. I was told we would receive compensation upon checkout for the inconvenience. Never happened. When we checked out, we were told there were no notes on the issue. They said they had waived the hotel charge as a courtesy, but when I reviewed my AmEx bill, I had in fact been charged. There was no coffee in the room, no washcloths, and no kettle. We had to pay an unreasonable amount for coffee in the lobby. There was also no valet parking, even though it was listed online as an amenity. My husband had to walk three blocks to the garage. The hotel claimed there was a garage discount. We gave them our ticket to validate at checkout, and they said they had done so and sent a message to the garage, but when we got to the garage, there was no discount and no message. We were charged full price. Really Shameful! I will never recommend this hotel to anyone and will never, ever stay there again!"

"We were very happy with our stay at the Paramount Times Square. The location is excellent, and we worried about the noise being so close to Times Square but it was quiet. It’s right across the street from the Rogers Theater so very convenient for Theater, and a few blocks from Metro stations. Super friendly and helpful staff. Small rooms and slow elevators were the only drawbacks, but those were minor concerns. Really great deal for the price."

"First of all, they gave me a wrong room and did not offer a room change, they said they would refund. Still waiting. Second, I haven’t seen such small bathroom! Sink was so tiny. AC was super loud and the room door was bot closing properly. I had to push or pull so hard."

"We got the bunk bed room and loved it! The room is very small but the space is so well organized that it felt like plenty of room. The location is so ideal for Times Square and the theater district. We were able to walk to all of the shows we saw. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We Would totally stay there again!"
