"Hotel rooms is spacious and location is good with shopping malls nearby (Joy city) with good variety of dining options and PopMart. Hotel is rather old, breakfast spread is very limited. Reception staff can be more friendly and helpful- most of them we encountered for our 6 days stay are gloomy looking. Swimming pool smaller than in pictures. Not near to Tiananmen nor forbidden city. Would recommend if prices are reasonable."

"What an incredible hotel! Staff service is EXCELLENT, cannot say enough good things about how helpful they were. The concierge helped us arrange trips to the Forbidden City and Great Wall, as well as cars whenever we needed them. The room staff understood our jet lag and cleaned when we were not there. They provided plenty of water and extra towels, which we appreciated. Will we stay here again? Absolutely!"

"We are traveling from US. We have been to many places in China. We enjoyed staying in a traditional Beijing style hotel in local Beijing neighborhood. The staff are super helpful and nice. No issues with staffs or the hotel, but the local area is a bit far from subway and attractions. The shower room is nice but there aren’t any hooks and there is no dryer for clothes."

"Hotel not only offers washer and dryer for free but also they can help you do the cleaning if you are too busy to do yourself, very helpful staff. Location is good, I'm able to take bus from summer palace to hotel front door. Bus also goes to some other attractions door to door"

"Fantastic hotel! Highly recommend. It’s ina great old school neighbourhood of Beijing close to attractions. Much better than an isolated high rise hotel. Walking around the hotel was great to watch local life and eat with locals. The hotel itself is very cosy, in a good way. Clean, comfortable and modern, in a lovely courtyard setting. The staff are very friendly and relaxed. They have resident cats, which my kids adored. The rate for the hotel is also very reasonable. Great for a short stay. It is a bit noisy, so if that’s a big issues, take it into account. However, if you want an affordable, comfortable and friendly hotel stay in a central local neighbourhood, highly highly recommend!!! "
