The hotel and pub and staff were fantastic . Very disappointed with my hotel door been opened at 12. 15 in the morning I had locked it with the dead lock but was opened in the night with the master key this should not happen

I always choose Hotels du Vin above any others, for location, ambience, personnel, comfort, welcome, taste in furnishings, and consistent,amazing cuisine.
Should I ever inherit, win, a substantial amount of money I wouldn't desert Hotel du Vin for anything so-called upmarket. I love boutique, loathe big fancy alternatives. York is lovely, Newcastle the favourite....until we visited Glasgow. I'm now torn between these 2. Not so impressed with Edinburgh but that was wholly down to the building; otherwise Edinburgh is fine.
If I need an uplift, Hotel du Vin - a meal or stay - ticks all my boxes. Really grateful we have these residences.

Lovely hotel, second time staying and staff are very helpful and engaging. Clean room with the basic amenities required when travelling. Lovely soaps and shower gels in the room. Very happy and will stay again.
