If you are looking for something with traditional charm, this boutique is it! I didn't want a cookies cutter hotel that is the same world wide. The Gore is a beautiful, boutique hotel with astounding customer service. They really care about making your stay personalized and wonderful. The room was a smaller one, but with London standards, it was very spacious and comfortable. The bed and bedding were so comfortable as well. (My only small complaint, to no fault of the hotel is the Queens Gate side can be rather noisy during the night due to passers-by. So if you are really counting on a quiets night sleep, I would ask to be away from that side. ) Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The hotel is in very good location, with beautiful view, many places around to walk and convenient transportation around. Staff is very friendly and always try their best to help. The room is a little bit old but clean and without any smell. Breakfast is delicious with more popular “English breakfast” things. Overall I’m very satisfied with this hotel.

When we stayed there in December 2023 it was a much more deluxe experience with in room amenities such as afternoon tea with shortbread cookies, luxurious shampoo, conditioner and lotion, free use of umbrellas, etc. On our second stay in September 2024 there were less amenities and on this visit none.

Very comfy room, compact bathroom, only one lift working which seemed a lottery where it stopped. The main bar had been given over to a private party, the upstairs bar felt like a cross channel ferry’s “posh” lounge, and a bit saga holiday. Good location and convenient for transport to London.
