Yucatan Peninsula Romantic Holidays

This place is amazing. They greet you with moist towels, a flower and coconut milk...you are treated like royalty here. Everything is immaculate. The service is beyond compare. Everyone is over the top nice and attentive. The food has been out of this world. So many delightful choices and the presentation is stellar. Billyjoel and Rodrigo were our very attentive butlers and they were so accommodating and always made sure we had what we needed. They even suggested things we hadn't thought of. We ate at The Lumiere and Yama (reservations required for both) and they were out of this world. Even the buffets here are incredible.

We went to an Excellence in Punta Cana and absolutely loved it which is why we chose to stay at another Excellence in Mexico. We went in with really high expectations. From the moment we checked in we could tell it just wasn’t at the same level. The person that checked us in wasn’t as friendly as we would have hoped to welcome us. The property itself was nice but wasn’t a big fan of the layout especially surrounding the pools. The food was hit or miss. The entertainment at night was really good (i.e. burlesque show and Mexico night). Overall the experience was ok but I don’t think I would return to this property in particular.

The food was 3.5 out of 5. The service was above average. They need more reservation times for the dinners. Need an extra server or two by the pools. The facilites are in good condition. Nice beach pool bar! I would recommend this place! I just wish the food was better! But the 24 hour room service is fantastic!

Rooms was very clean!

The hotel is 35-40 minutes North from Cancun airport. It is within a complex of different hotels so you have to pass through two security gates, having the feel of being a very secure place. Since we got there, the service was excellent and the staff super friendly, from the lobby to the waiters at the beach, everybody was helpful at any issue that could come up. There was a day that I forgot my iPhone in one of the beach chairs and when realizing an hour after, they already picked up everything from the beach I went running to the front desk, and they were able to locate my phone in the lost and found!! For me, that was amazing!!! The spa was very good too! I had such a relaxing massage. The hotel was very clean, the room big and the food was good too, considering that usually All inclusive hotels do not have the best food. The beach was very nice, and it had just some sargassum the last couple of days but I am assuming that it was because of the rain that happened those nights. The kids loved it! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This property is quite small and lacks nighttime entertainment. The hallways and check-in area are not air-conditioned, which made things uncomfortable, especially in the heat. Restaurant options are very limited, and both the bar and restaurant close at 12AM sharp. Since there was nothing else to do in the evening, my girlfriends and I decided to sit by the pool at night to relax and chat. Unfortunately, staff came at midnight and turned off all the lights without any prior notice or communication, which felt abrupt and unwelcoming. For the price we paid, I expected a better experience and more amenities. That said, we did enjoy the stunning ocean view—absolutely beautiful! It’s just a shame the beach itself was quite dirty, which took away from the experience. Overall, while the view is a highlight, the lack of atmosphere and service after hours makes it hard to justify the cost.
