"What a lovely hotel Free upgrade to superior double. Big in size clean beautiful decor. Bed comfortable, slept like a baby. Would recommend Half hour walk into down, £7.00 for a taxi back. Did mot have breakfast so cannot comment on this"

"In the city for a concert and the Dixie Dean was an ideal base for the weekend. We had a 'luxury' room, with two massive beds and the bath was the size of a swimming pool!! The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of selection and regularly stocked up. The waiters didn't stop with topping up coffees and clearing up promptly. High recommended if you're in the city."

"From start to finish this was an excellent experience at the Holiday Inn. Anna on reception was brilliant before we arrived and Dylan checked us in perfectly. A great room and a very positive breakfast experience. Superb."

"We had a brilliant 2 night stay with our 18 month old. The facilities were excellent, especially the clean swimming pool and changing rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel was very convenient for transport, shops and dining. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend."

"Service at reception - did not answer my calls when I knew someone was there. Not really as welcoming as I thought either, when arriving there. I have also been charged £42 unnecessarily on my credit card. I was told at the end of the stay that I should have any charges and that it should reverse out in next few days (in addition to the deposit that I had paid)."

"The property overall is very good. Great location - the Cavern Club is a 2 min walk, shopping minutes away Albert Dock less than 10 min. The morning Breakfest is perfect. The room and common area’s were also all very clean. We would recommend the the hotel"

"The staff, bar area and room were excellent. However the bed was the worst I have ever attempted to sleep on, at one point in the night I was convinced the floor maybe softer. I achieved about 2 hours of sleep on the mattress and woke up in pain. "
