Looked at the website before we went and there was no information on facilities. Was really hoping for a gym but no mention on website. On arrival realised there was one but hadn’t packed anything to wear. Hotel location was great and staff generally very helpful, mattress on bed was only major complaint and sagged in the middle so little sleep.

Great location, near racecourse and city centre. parking was expensive £20 a night, clean room. Breakfast was poor, up graded to better breakfast, day 1 eggs were solid and chorizo was hard to find. Day 2, scrambled eggs were like rubber and cold, replaced with an English breakfast, only half items arrived. Coffee was poor quality. View was not the so called racecourse view but a miserable view of offices and back of Carter & Miller. On leaving staff did not ask about my stay.

Lovely room, great staff. Had a continental breakfast included with the room booking. Personally disappointed that it wasnt a buffet. You could help yourself to coffee from an urn (not the best) rice crispies and coco pops (I’m not 12), the fruit was a selection of apples, under ripe kiwis, oranges that had seen better days and then select single items from a menu. Refills of juice were extra. No meats or cheeses etc. for the cost I paid I would have expected a buffet and wider selection. Otherwise location was great, car parking fine (no ev charging if you’re wondering)

What a fantastic location to stay at right next to the racecourse, with excellent facilities and welcoming staff a very clean and comfortable room overlooking the racecourse. Had a small issue with the safe as we left belongings locked in it when we left. After contacting the lady on reception who was fantastic, we simply went back (2 hour journey ) and met the manageress of house keeping who took us back to our room to retrieve our belongings . Can't thank the team enough who went above and beyond to help us. We will definitely be going back.

View from room was great. Location outstanding. Breakfast was a rip off ( One glass of juice with additional chargeable and one choice for a continental breakfast). Parking £20 a night if you can get a space. Place in need of some TLC, it's seen better days since my last visit. A shame, so much potential but seems want to grab as much money from you as possible without reinvesting in the experience.

The hotel is in a great location, rooms and all areas are spotless, bed super comfy and shower fantastic BUT on site parking is limited and costs £20 a day. Parking in the roodee across the road is £9.50/24 hrs or if its a weekend, parking at the courthouse opp is free. breakfast was terrible-.theres a £10 charge for a ,"continental breakfast" however, this just comprised cornflakes, coco pops,rice crispies and a large bowl of fruit. Guests then select 1 item from 2 menus(the 1st being either porridge, granola or a croissant;second menu is a choice of fruit juices/smoothies. I chose porridge but it was only just warm and there wasnt alot(I was running the marathon that day so had to load up on cornflakes). There was no toaster as is standard pretty much everywhere else and if you wanted any cooked items, there was an additional charge. To top it off, the tea was undrinkable(I mentioned the last point to a staff member and they commented that I wasnt the first to say that but that was the brand used across the hotel group...not helpful). In the end, we bought our own tea bags for the room and had remaining breakfasts at local independent cafes which were spot on(can especially recommend the cinderbox).
