"The hosts were very helpful. I've never stayed anywhere with a toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving cream and a disposable razor in the bathroom. The location was a 10 minute walk out of town, but there was a chippy nearby. Rather than eat my takeaway in my room I was invited to use the dining area and supplied with cutlery. The breakfast was good as well."

"We stayed at the hotel on the occasion of a family dinner. The dinner itself organised and catered by the hotel was first class.. 30 or so guests dining in an 18 century dining room. Our room with four poster was magnificent. Most importantly however every member of staff was outstandingly friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble .. even with three dogs wandering about and getting into places they shouldn’t! Quite the best hotel experience we have had for many years"

"The Hotel staff are amazing and very friendly, the room was spotless. The bathroom very small, fan was very noisy at night when you went to the toilet and the drains kicked up a stink in the morning when everyone started having a shower from other rooms. Shirt of plug sockets for a family room.where everyone wants to charge phones over night. Plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. "

"Really impressed with this Hotel, only marginally more expensive than a travelodge but free parking until 10pm on Day of departure. Easy walking distance of the City Centre and next to both the Plantation Garden and the Roman Catholic Cathedral. Experience was more of a serviced apartment than a hotel with Fridge, Microwave, crockery and sink in a mini kitchen. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. As this is an independent hotel would strongly support to encourage local businesses."
