"Lovely room, clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I ate breakfast and evening meal in the hotel, and used the hotel bar, all of which was excellent. The best location for seeing the city in my opinion. My only 'negative' comment is that, in my room, the windows overlooked the park opposite and, because off single pane sash windows which didn't close fully, with only secondary glazing over these, it was quite noisy at night as those enjoying the night life returned...

"Very clean! We stayed one night and were impressed with how clean the room was. Bed was comfortable and the room was very nicely decorated. Good location, only a short walk into the centre. Breakfast was great and had a waffle station and they were lovely. Only thing that let it down was the fact it rained heavily and the aluminium window ledges meant a very noisy night so it was difficult to get to sleep. We were on the second floor and it looked like the window ledges weren’t the same further...

"Perfect hotel all around. Perfect spot a 2 minute walk from the city. The rooms were clean and they added a note on the mirror as we was away for my Girlfriend’s birthday wishing her a happy birthday which we thought was a great touch. The grab and go section was perfect with free pot noodles and crisps and drinks to take to the room. 100% will come again"

"Clean and spacious room. Wonderful view of the garden. Large bathroom. Good breakfast. Wifi connection was erratic. Staff at front desk seemed abrupt. Thin walls (people can be heard in the corridor talking)."

"A fantastic hotel. The location next to the railway station was ace. We checked in but had to sit and wait for our room key. The guy came over and said sorry for the wait but here is a brand new refurbished room as we had to wait. Great service great staff and a very good breakfast "

"Absolutely lovely stay! Stayed for a weekend for a conference for my daughter’s rare genetic syndrome! Along with almost 100 others. The staff were very attentive, friendly, accommodating. The venue was excellent, pool great, food delicious and rooms perfect! Would definitely stay again! Xx "

"Lobby area clean, tidy and modern as was the room. Surrounding area outside also scrupulously clean. I was a bit concerned about staying in a motorway services , but this hotel is a delight. "

"The hotel is wonderfully located in a beautiful old building. The bar area is very comfortably and the rooms are nice and bright, having had a refurb in the recent past. The staff are hit and miss, some are absolutely lovely, caring and helpful, others treat you like you’re in the way, which is a shame. The rooms have an iron and ironing board, kettle and basic toiletries."
