King Street Townhouse

"Lovely Hotel"
Room was lovely, all fixtures and fittings of a very high standard. Decorated in a modern Victorian style. I had stayed at the Gotham hotel the night prior and the room facilities were better at Gotham - tea and coffee facilities, free biscuits etc. The STAR attraction at Kingstreet Townhouse is certainly the spar, complete with infinity pool with views of the city. This is the reason you stay here. It's a shame there was a problem with the pool - a piece of a seat had broken off and I cut my foot on it. When I reported it to the cleaner, it wasn't taken very seriously and no apology was made, I was just given a plaster to stem the bleeding. This spoilt it a little for me, so all staff should have better health and safety training.

"Nice hotel, far from center of city"
Nice hotel. Quick check in on a weekday, friendly staff, clean lobby and public areas, room was spacious and clean, bathroom had adequate amenities, coffee and tea provided in room. Be advised this hotel is in a remote section of the city, about an hour's walk from center of city with no obvious public transportation so if you are looking for shopping, dining, entertainment nearby, this is not the hotel for you.

"Nice hotel "
Abide is an old building converted into a very modern hotel. The rooms are a good size and the bed was very comfy. The location is right next to the train station which is pretty handy and not far from most of the main things in the city. The staff were all friendly and helpful

"Good stay"
Very close to the city centre and Piccadilly, lovely staff. The room could do with a bit of TLC, it was still a great room but just a little battered in corners, especially in the bathroom. The bar downstairs is really great too, nice atmosphere and overall a very nice place to stay

"Excellent hotel choice when using the arena"
We booked into this hotel for one night when we came to Manchester to see a show at the arena. We caught a train across and it took us approximately 5-8 minutes to walk from Victoria station. Check in was very smooth and quick. We had a superior room on the fifth floor, which was very clean and very comfortable. The hotel is situated about 2-3 minute walk from the arena, so was perfect for us. I can't comment on the spa or pool facilities, since we didn't use them. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet, which had everything you would require (cooked items, cheeses and meats, cereals, bread, toast, pastries etc). It was very busy when we ate, but the chef was regularly checking the cooked items and replacing anything that needed it. All staff were very friendly and helpful, including the cleaning staff (the lady on our floor asked us as we were leaving in the morning whether we had remembered our chargers and mobiles and wished a safe journey home). Check out was very quick.
