"A true gem! Rooms are on the small side but absolutely comfortable and tasteful. Newly renovated with quality materials. The bathroom was spotless, a very nice size, shower with both oversized and handheld shower heads. Climate control was great: so quiet you could not hear the AC was on! Rooms are quiet and matress so comfortble that I overslept and missed breakfast! However, they insisted on offering me some coffee or juice. Very nice staff. Free parking on premises. "Walk 5 minutes to a village with grocery store or simply sit by the pool to enjoy the view. This villa has it all! Our family of 10 (adults and kids) spent 2 weeks at Villa Maria and would recommend it for its amenities and location. The host, Tomasso, and chef, Donato, were the ultimate guides and helpers. Take the train into Florence to avoid parking a car. Experience Borroncino Restaurant in Reggello for a gastronomic treat. We would certainly return to this heavenly spot for touring Tuscany."

"A Fascinating and perhaps haunted hotel off the beaten track. You will drive through the beautiful mountains to get there and it’s located in the shadow of an ancient Abby.
