The Bungalow at Afton Mountain Retreat
Welcome to The Bungalow at Afton Mountain Retreat in the heart of Brewery Trail/Route 151, Vineyard country and the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Bungalow is located 1/4th mile from Veritas Vineyard. It is within 10 minutes to every brewery, vineyard, distillery and cidery along Route 151 Crozet, 1 mile from the newly opened Blue Ridge Tunnel and 20 minutes to Wintergreen Resort for winter fun! Completely remodeled and ready to spoil the best guests who simply want to unwind.
The area is rural with homes spaced out on 2-10 acres. Most homes are lived in by the owners so please be respectful of noise as they live here full time. The neighbors behind us own cattle that sometimes graze along the wire fence in the back yard.
From 64 take Exit 107 / Crozet. Turn left onto 250W. Turn Left onto Route 151. Turn right onto Route 6 / Afton Mountain Rd. House is 2 miles down on the right.

We stayed here for one night as a “stop-over” on our Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway road trip, but this house is worth so much more than a one night stop-over. It is beautiful, well appointed, super comfortable, and the setting is gorgeous!
This house is beautiful and was a perfect fit for our ladies wine weekend. We loved the layout and the outdoor spaces and all took pictures of the beautiful decor. Our hosts were communicative and everything was clear for check in and check out. I would definitely stay here again!
This property was gorgeous inside and out! It was clean and decorated beautifully! Close to wineries and 151 Brew Ridge destinations! Highly recommend!
One of the most well stocked homes we’ve ever stayed in! The owners have thought of everything! Spacious and comfortable and in a great location. Perfect for our girls trip!
We came to celebrate my 60th and had the most amazing time ! Home was an absolutely beautiful! Just perfect! Would stay there again in a heartbeat! Thank you so much for a wonderful relaxing stay !
Most stunning location and property.
The house has everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay.
It’s immaculate and attention to every little detail has been paid.
Most adorable decor inside and out and the owners were on hand if we needed anything .
Absolutely a wonderful house. Has all the amenities and was decorated so nice. Wonderful location to all the wineries and breweries. Beautiful view of the mountains on the front porch. Stayed after our daughters graduation from Liberty University.

What’s not to like? Vintage meets modern farmhouse here. Looks like it was taken out of the HGTV playbook. All area of the home are pleasing and comfortable. The property is large and beautiful with many trees. We loved the outdoor sitting area around the fire pit with the hanging basket swings Woukd definitely stay here again.
Perfect place to reconnect and relax with friends! The weather didn't cooperate with our weekend plans, but it didnt matter because we had plenty of options on front porch, back porch and in this well appointed house to relax. We can't wait to come back!
The house was beautiful, in the heart of wine country. Everything we wanted to do was within a couple of miles. It was a birthday retreat for family and friends. We really enjoyed relaxing on the porch and at a firepit. Thank you for sharing your home.

I can’t say enough about this house. It’s truly special! My girlfriends & I all needed a little get away & this property had everything we needed & more. The house itself is gorgeous & charming but we were happy to see we had everything we needed to cook a meal, enjoy coffee on the front porch or back deck & enjoy each other’s company. Check in & check out was also simple & seamless. Thank you so much to our hosts for a truly incredible weekend!
This house is lovely, well stocked and comfortable. Beds were clean and very comfortable. The drive from the Richmond airport was super easy until about the last two twisty miles; if you are arriving after dark, study the map so you know what to expect. I loved that it was so close to Shenandoah National Park. We ate at the Blue Ridge Cafe in Ruskerville (recommend) then entered at the Swift Run entrance then drove south and came out just a couple miles from the house. Heads up to travelers and a tip for the owners they could act on—the upstairs bathroom windows are not fully covered and it felt very exposed. If you have kids upstairs you might hang up towels for more privacy. We stayed during that weird solar event and could see evidence of the northern lights phenomenon from the back yard; shared photo just for fun.
My husband and I have been exploring VA since our son started college there and found this gem in Afton. The home is absolutely adorable, comfortable and the hosts have thought of everything. While it was just the two of us, several other guests could have comfortably stayed with us. The location was perfect there was lots to do. Charlottesville is a short drive and the area is is filled with breweries and wineries. Wish we could have stayed longer! We did the wine dinner at Farmhouse at Veritas and highly recommend it. The winery is just a few minutes up the road.
