"From check in to check out the stay was great. Oceanfront room was requested and granted. Pool was warm, room was clean and love the Dove products. Housekeeping was very accomodating for extra towels. The front desk was very helpful, (Shayla-her 1st couple of new days) friendly. They would always greet us when we came into the lobby. "Clint the owner greeted us and made us feel special. He and his team truly knows the meaning of hospitality. We had two rooms for the four of us. Both were superb. We also had a tour of the other rooms and all were beautiful. I work in high end hospitality and this place is fabulous. Clint also gave us some really good tips on where to dine. Spot on. Anyone visiting the Manteo area should book this place. A gem for sure. The attention to detail in each room is sublime. "

"When visiting family, we usually stay in the area and have stayed at the Mariner many times. It is close to family, beach and activities. This trip we thought that the hotel was looking shabby; trash (from renters and beach goers) was visible and common. Breakfast was also not up to standards. "
