Sportsman's Inn on the Harbour Front

Sportsman's Inn on the Harbour Front

8/10 Good
"Check-in in person was relatively straight-forward at Gus's pub. The girls were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean with comfy beds, and parking was convenient and safe right outside your door. Great location right in town at the waterfront. The only negative comment is that I called the phone number provided but could not get a hold of anyone / no one got back to me, and no one responded to my message in the Hotels.com app. Overall we would stay again but if you need to check in after-hours, I would pick a different hotel."

"The Nimpkish Hotel (I stayed in room 3 which has a lovely deck overlooking the water and is on the side of the hotel fully facing the sea) is a lovely oasis in Alert Bay - highly recommend it for a clean, comfortable, conveniently located place to relax, walk around the little town, and get a meal at the hotel restaurant (my halibut and chips was fresh and great) - or you can walk across the road to the Orca Inn for a fine dining experience - both were great."

"Beautiful spot to stay while visiting Malcom Island. Clean, very comfortable and all the amenities you need with a small fridge and kitchen utensils and all the gadgets to cook if needed. The island shuts down pretty hard and you need to be able to cook. We were there mid week and only one breakfast/lunch place open and the Co-op for groceries. Beautiful little island to slow down for a few days. Highly recommend."

10/10 Excellent
"The large house with a huge deck and beach access was super convenient for exploring the area including ferry trips to Sointula and Alert Bay. The jumping salmon in the water just a few metres off shore was exiting not to mention a dramatic fight between a bald eagle and a sea gull that ended in murder at broad daylight! One evening we even encountered a heard of six to eight elk passing……what a location this is.The official photos are a bit outdated as there are nice upgrades to the kitchen and livingroom and everything was very clean and comfortable. Thank you to the host and house cleaner!"
