"Lovely, friendly staff and a beautiful restaurant. Fab little car park at the back, which is very handy. The only thing which might stop us staying again is the bed: it was really springy, old and uncomfortable, so neither of us slept well."

"This was a return visit to Rock Lobster for our family. The property is wonderful, a very peaceful location in Craster and breathtaking sea views. The kitchen and house generally is very well equipped, high standards of cleanliness and very cosy. The upstairs sitting area is so incredible to relax in, with views across the sea and a covered verandah to sit on whilst enjoying a holiday drink. Our party comprised adults and children and the property was suitable for both. The spacious garden was great to play in as was the games room with table football and table tennis. Craster is an unspoilt area to stay with walks to the harbour and across the coastline to Dunstanburgh Castle. It has a wonderful pub and cafes for meals or snacks. And the other resorts along the coastline are within easy reach. We have holidayed a number of times with Catch the Breeze and have always found them to be very helpful and approachable."

"Easily the best accommodation of a four-day stay in Northumberland. Everything in the Whittling House makes your trip a little bit better, from lovely staff to beautiful decor, homemade shortbread for the rooms to the comfy armchairs in the bar. Definitely worth the more premium price!"

"****DO NOT STAY HERE**** This hotel is NOT ready to accept guests. Taking people's money to stay here is an absolute outrage! It is a building site. Rooms: -Cold. -No hot water. -Showers do not work. We were asked if we will need to have a shower when we were checking in because it was broken so they knew. -Door doesn't lock. -Tv didn't work. -No WiFi even though it's advertised as "high speed" -They have a bar but it's not really a bar. It's a fridge with a few drinks in. -The smell is awful throughout. -Dirty bed linen. We were booked in for two nights but only stayed for one due to how horrific it was. I explained to the manager then reasons why we were not staying and I didn't even get an apology. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY."

"Location is great with lots of free parking options nearby including EV chargers. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean and warm. On the downside was the fact that our room was just above the pub and on Saturday night was very loud until midnight and we couldn’t sleep. So make sure to ask for a room on higher floor. Regarding the breakfast one day we had the eggs Benedict which were not good as the hollandaise sauce was too watery, scrambled and bland. The 2nd day we had the English breakfast which was very good and I would definitely recommend it. The breakfast continental buffet could have more fruit options (only apple and oranges were available) and should be refilled regularly which wasn’t the case."
