Excellent stay! Don’t hesitate to book here - it was one of the best parts of our trip to Amsterdam. Two bedrooms and two bathes worked perfect. The end room did have a low ceiling, but it was fine. Host was super helpful with each and every question we had. De Reiger restaurant was a short walk and had excellent food and a wonderful vibe. Get a reservation ahead. If you’re there on a Monday, go to the local market up the way for almost everything you can imagine, including tiny pancakes.

Wonderful houseboat and unbeatable location

A wonderful houseboat for two couples or even a large family with children. Unbeatable location directly across from the Anne Frank House. Very clean and well-appointed with all of the amenities that anyone would need (except for a microwave).

Amazing boathouse!

This is the exact experience I envisioned when searching for a boathouse in Amsterdam. Charming, clean, super comfortable. The host was so kind and helpful. Great location and so fun. What a gem!

Fantastic Experience on the Princess

This was the highlight of our trip so far around the UK and Europe. The house boat was amazing, well equipped, walkable to everything, had comfortable beds, great kitchen and bathrooms, and near fabulous code! Perfect start did our family of four.

Magnificent Prinsengracht gem

The Prince Royal is a fabulous property that combines the privacy of a very old house boat with the most modern interior details, provisions and amenities. The location is immediately close to everything and Chamelli aims to please as a warm host!

Awesome location and facility!

We loved this stay! Such a fun and vibrant location! The houseboat was immaculate and had everything we needed. The “Captain’s Nest” was an unexpected bonus and we used it daily. So fun to watch the crowds waiting for their boat tours and the other various boats go by. Very comfortable beds, too.

Perfect place to meet up with friends

We stayed on board the Prince Royal with friends. We all enjoyed separate space (2 separate bedroom/bathroom spaces) but a large living room and kitchen to share some good times. Although our weather was a little cooler than we had planned, we also enjoyed the deck area.

Perfect Amsterdam Vacation Stay

The boat is perfectly located in the Jordaan with both indoor and outdoor seating areas to enjoy the view along the canal. The boat was clean and had everything we needed. The beds and sitting area were very comfortable. The hosts were very communicative leading up to the stay and check in was a breeze. Our family of four couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our time in Amsterdam. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Amsterdam boathouse magic

The boathouse is very comfortable, clean and spacious. The bedrooms have very low ceilings so if you are tall, this may be an issue for you. The location of the boathouse is fantastic and we enjoyed afternoons sitting on the deck and watching the world go by.

Great location

The property was exactly as advertised. There were ladders and low ceilings but nothing to impact our stay. We were 3 sisters over 60 and had no problems. The location was great. The beds were comfortable. The property was clean and it was very quiet at night. I would definitely stay here again. The top room was our favorite place to hang out.

Great Experience!

Chamelli was an excellent host. She helped us prior to our visit and met us at the boat at the agreed upon time to review everything with us. She provided a nice bottle of wine for our stay. The accommodations were exactly the experience we were looking for. 2 separate suites for our family. You do get to see alot of canal traffic during the day, but it is quiet in the evening. The main kitchen/sitting area was comfortable for us to congregate. I had stayed in a canal house on a previous experience so this was different and very enjoyable. Won’t find many locations on the canal as good!

Best location, and on a boat!

Rachell was a great hostess. Met us at the boat early and made us feel quite at home. The boat is beautifully appointed, and we lacked for very little. It is almost directly across from the Anne Frank house (get your tickets before you arrive!), and we had a great time watching the tour boats and bicycles go by. The weather was "adventurous". Snow our first day, hail our second day, thunderstorm our 3rd night + sideways wind. But still a wonderful time and a beautiful city. The beds were super comfy (especially in the forward cabin). We accidentally slept in a couple of times, the beds were so cozy. Wish we could have used the captain's room to hang out a bit more, but the cold weather was a bit too much for that space. Highly recommend this place. It was walkable to almost everything, and in a gorgeous neighborhood with lots of restaurant and pub options, with a grocery store about a 5-7 min walk away. Ceilings in the rooms are low - so mind your head! We eventually got used to it, and it wasn't much of a bother. If we find our way back to Amsterdam, we would definitely look into booking here again.

Fellow traveler's two scents

The boat is amazing and styled impeccably, a clean canvas allowing voyagers the opportunity to fill their experiences with the colors of the city. Each room is special, providing exactly what you need. The captain's room where you can close the world off or let the world in but you can always hear and see the blur and heart of the city around you. The front deck allows you to literally greet the world as people from allover the little blue marble float by for a minute or two. Each living their own Adventure. Inside, you physically enter backwards leaving the stress at the door. The heart of the ship is open and inviting, a blank canvas for you to decorate with all the things the city and life have to offer. From bottles of wine to greasy takeaway boxes the place is what you make it. I recommend taking photos at the beginning but also take a few during the stay. A cheese board, good bread and a peach can be the most important still life you'll ever see and will mean the world when you look back at the image and remember the time, the people and most importantly the bread! Each bedroom is a cocoon, the pillow fort from your childhood that you sometimes forget but bang your head just once and you'll literally feel like a little kid again crawling around, and hopefully over, your fellow travelers. I left an Adventure Starter Pack consisting of an old back pack, umbrella, and a maroon corduroy blazer and vest to help start your story off right. Safe travels, Brewster

What a fun and different way to experience life along the canal in this part of the city. The houseboat was very comfortable however, if you have a bad back or are uncomfortable with stairs, this would not be appropriate. Both rooms have lower ceilings. We were completely comfortable with the beds and sitting area. We took advantage of the upper deck and enjoyed the beauty of the surroundings and watching the boats go by. The houseboat was very clean and and the location was ideal. Great communication with the owner.

This was easily one of the most memorable and comfortable places we've ever stayed. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds were by far the most comfortable out of all of the places we stayed in Europe. The heating system in the boat was great and kept us warm and cozy in rainy fall weather. The host was incredibly thoughtful, our flight arrived late and she sent very detailed information regarding the check in process. When we arrived there was wine, snacks, and other little goodies that made us feel instantly welcome. Despite being in a bustling area, the boat itself was surprisingly peaceful and quiet. We loved being able to walk to Dam Square and so many other spots. Everything felt close by but inside the boat it felt like a little private sanctuary in the city.The host was so kind and welcoming, she really goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home. We didn’t want to leave but will be back someday :)

A fine perch

One of my all-time favorite locations to simply sit and watch citizens from all about the world converge in happiness and common purpose - and all from the uniquecomfort of your own house (boat). Couldn't recommend more.mix it up a little bit more when they travel
