Lovely Spacious House in a Fab Sligo location directly on the Wild Atlantic Way

The bright and spacious 1bed "Upside Down " House is part of the The Landmark Holiday Lets at Aughris, Sligo, Aughris is a designated Discovery point on the Wild Atlantic Way. The Landmark is a renovated old shop (formerly Battles) and just oozes with character. This is a quiet seaside location with great sandy beaches and wonderful views of the sea and mountains. This is an area of un-spoilt natural beauty. The location is particularly suited to families or to Walking, Golf or Surfing enthusiasts who want a central base to sample what Sligo has to offer. A major attraction nearby is the Beach Bar, an authentic old world pub/restaurant which is only 12 minutes walk from the house.

This newly renovated house ( formerly Battles shop) is located directly on the Wild Atlantic Way and it will not disappoint . The location is unbeatable.

The 1bed Upside Down house is very spacious and can comfortably accommodate 4 sleeping two in one double bed and a further two on the sofa bed in the living room.

Bad odor from heating system
Upon arrival the bedroom smelled of heating oil. We tried opening the window, but was simply too cold. We had to leave the property. We were only there a few hours. We contacted both the property manager and VRBO. We offered to pay for the 1st night and requested a refund for the rest. We contacted the property manager several times but never received a response. Neither helped us and we lost our money. It was a horrible experience:(

Quiet time on the Wild Atlantic Way
After a couple of weeks seeing the UK and Ireland with 9 of our kids and grandkids, we wanted a few days to rest. We loved being in the Sligo area and dining at the nearby Beach Bar. Downpatrick Head was great to see & we even drove to the Giant’s Causeway while we were in the area. Sheila’s house was a nice place to rest and relax. We loved attending church in nearby Screen. A great ending to a great trip!

Brilliant House To Stay
Me and my wife spent a wonderful week in this lovely, spacious house.( Date's from the 29aug to 5sep 2022 ) The decor, furniture and fittings are top notch. It was an upside down house everything was immaculate. It had spacious floor area in the living area up stair and a very large bedroom downstairs . It was dog friendly and had a large back garden for the dog to run around. There was a patio area at the rear which came in handy because the weather for us was brilliant .the beach was fantastic. It was just down the road we didn't have far to go.just a couple of minutes Our Host Sheila McDermott couldn't have been more helpful. ThankYou Sheila I WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK

Lovely place in a beautiful part of Ireland
We had a really relaxing time in Sheila’s rental property. It is a beautiful renovated house in a stunning coastal part of Ireland. Our dog loved the large back garden. It’s a perfect base camp for Atlantic coast walks.

Fabulous Aughris Property
We stayed at one of Sheila’s landmark properties, the 3 bed house at Aughris. What a well equipped, inviting house, with lovely views. It was a fabulous spot, we’d definitely stay again. It was an enchanting place.
