"We had a fantastic stay at The Happy Traveler – Cabin at Starved Rock State Park. Nicole, the owner, was incredibly friendly and very responsive throughout the booking process. Her emails about our arrival and departure were clear, helpful, and made everything feel smooth and easy.The cabin itself was spotless and comfortable, and the North woods vibe really stood out. You can tell there’s real attention to detail in the way it’s decorated—cozy, warm, and perfectly suited to the Starved Rock area. We loved the fireplaces, and the whole place just felt right for a weekend of hiking and relaxing.Our friends and family were staying nearby, and being within walking distance of their place made it even better.A experience all around. We’ll definitely be back."

"Great space - sleeps 10, we had 4 so lots of privacy. Three baths priceless. Interior space is well appointed, outdoor space is super nice and peaceful. Love the 30 yard walk to town - although no dedicated parking, plenty of parking on the street. Highly recommend this rental - was perfect for the Witch Fest weekend. Also - close to Starved Rock and other state parks for hiking. "
