"Charming old coaching inn. I stay here regularly when visiting Hemel. The service and breakfast is always excellent. Room no 1 is one of the smallest and usually OK. On this occasion, there was a noisy fan outside the room which meant I didn’t get much sleep. "

"We stayed for 3 nights as we were visiting Oxford for the Literary Festival. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. The guest house was very clean and felt newly refurbished. We parked on site. There were frequent buses into town which made it a very convenient place to stay. There are also shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. Recommended."

"Staff were lovely, very friendly and attentive. Easy to communicate with. Cody Okde Worlde type pub with exposed beams, partial thatched roof as well as tiled. Rooms were across a courtyard. Pub was very quiet when we arrived (about 2100). Large Carpark situated across the road. "

"From the word go this place was amazing from both outside and in. A big shout out to the lovely gentlemen who checked me in after a kind hearted stranger helped me with my baggage due to extreme pain and mobility issues. Check in was speedy, efficient and I was very happy with the hospitality during check in. The room was comfortable, warm and inviting. Easy to get to via the local bus. Very highly recommended. 😊"

"Having stayed in Eton several times, always wanted to stay at Gilbey’s. Stayed in studio suite and it was fabulous. A safe area and close to Windsor Castle, shopping , many pubs and restaurants. Staff was lovely. Will definitely stay there again. "

"What a lovely place. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. There was everything from cereal to full english. Cooked to order, and was delicious The room was clean and well equipped. Comfy bed. Snacks were a lovely touch. George the resident cat was friendly. 🐈 We went to the local pub to eat in the evening. 10 mins walk away. It was busy but they got us a table. :) They werent serving food but was a chippy van outside that you could take into the pub to eat. Huge...
