"Clare was most welcoming upon our arrival. Street parking was easy. Minor issues that might be addressed would include instructions for the hob(they were not in the oven drawer) and the new coffee machine. Location was good for touring the town and area."

"We absolutely loved Brownstone Lodge. Perfect location near Lough Carra in County Mayo. We were able to do some fishing when the weather allowed. The remoteness of the location was amazing, so quiet and so peaceful. And the lodge was well stocked, clean and spacious. We enjoyed the company of our caretakers and they made sure that we had everything that we needed. We had a lovely time and we cannot wait to come back!"

"Beautiful house, very well equipped in a lovely, quiet spot convenient for Claremorris and the airport. Small herd of alpacas in the field beside the house are a delight. John and Sarah were happy to help with anything we needed and were very kind and accommodating when a storm disrupted our travel plans. Would highly recommend."

"It is a really good house for a group of up to 10 people. It's three minutes from Westport by car and easily walkable too. The house overall was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The beds were really good quality and comfortable too. The only thing I would suggest is it would be great to have a few additional en suites but it worked well as it was for our group. We all agreed that we would happily rebook The Rocks were we to return to Westport again."

"We had an enjoyable stay in the cottage. There is a lot of useful information material, but some information was outdated (WiFi password, name and number of the local manager, number of the proprietor). This made it difficult to contact manager or proprietor when we encountered a problem. Once contact was established, the problem was resolved smoothly. There is a nice 8 km walk starting from the cottage, the finest part of which is a stretch of coastline that is only accessible at low tide....

"The property is modern and was very clean and comfortable but lacked any character and would benefit from a dvd player. It was within walking distance of Westport, the train station and a Tesco superstore but was also close to a cement factory. Compared to our previous stay in a detached cottage in County Tipparary I thought it was overpriced."

"Overall the property was generally clean and basic. Alot of cobwebs (inside & out) and flies (dead and alive). The stairs to 3 bedrooms upstairs was unsafe, too steep and carpet nails and rips were dangerous throughout the house. The central heating was only warm upstairs and bearly tepid downstairs. The ensuite shower down stairs was modern, but smells of blocked & dirty drain and also had very poor water pressure. Overall we would not recommend the accommodation due to safety of the stairs."
