"Beautiful hotel, stayed 5 or 6 times in past 7-8 yrs. Always very good. We did have an unfortunate incident with a bar meal the first night which I have notified the hotel directly about. I will say it was nothing to do with the service or bar staff They were great. The room we had was on the 5th floor. Very spacious with lovely bathroom and jacuzzi. The view from the wrap around, floor to ceiling, corner windows was fantastic. Total peace and quiet - which is about the important feature to us. Parking is always busy but never a problem. Breakfast can be very busy at peak times. Again the service is excellent. Generally the cooked breakfast is lovely. The exception being the scrambled eggs which did not taste or feel authentic I would still stay any time and recommend this hotel to others."

"We had a wonderful stay at Dooly's. The staff members (in all areas) were the friendliest, nicest, and most helpful that we have EVER experienced. The food was absolutely delicious and servings were plentiful (breakfast and dinner). Regarding the rooms, the decor and facilities were simple and straightforward, which was fine, and the shower had great pressure and the bed was comfortable with several soft but supportive pillows. Such a wonderful, welcoming experience!"

"We stayed here for one night with friends and overall had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel itself is lovely, the rooms were comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. The facilities were also excellent. Unfortunately, our experience at dinner let things down slightly. One of the meals (a double smash burger) was completely inedible and was returned, yet it still appeared on the final bill and was charged in full. This was raised at the time and should have been removed. We were also told during a conversation about tipping that staff do not receive tips and that there is no point in leaving one. If this is the case, it’s quite disappointing and not something guests would expect. Overall, a nice hotel and an enjoyable stay, but these issues did take away from what would otherwise have been a great experience."

"Staying in this castle was an unforgettable experience for our family of eight. After spending our trip touring so many historic sites, actually getting to stay in a real castle was something special—it truly brought everything to life for us.The property was spacious and comfortable, easily accommodating all of us, and it had such a unique charm you just can’t replicate anywhere else. We also really appreciated all the thoughtful extras—those touches did not go unnoticed and made our stay even more enjoyable.Thank you for such a memorable experience. "Excellent customer service, all staff very attentive, helpful and friendly. They include a full breakfast each day the room is reserved. They offer free parking in two lots so you won't have to pay for street parking. The restaurant serves fresh and amazing food that is served quite quickly. Many places to eat /drink nearby, town is easy walk to historic sites. "
